Slapjake
Just recently a couple of my friends and i have been playing Halo: Reach more and more frequently after taking a years break from the game. And to my surprise, the game seems to be missing a spark that i fell in love with back in 2011. Just playing through a couple games of swat, I noticed that there were a lot less maps to choose from. ( i remember playing on a bunch of other Forge world maps, like i think one was called "Asylum") Which was weird to me. Playing a few games of swat, my friends and I came across 2 frighteningly high leveled players, but at a closer inspection I noticed that their accommodation progress and armory progress were pretty low. (like 12% Accommodation and 8% armory) The game goes on being a disaster, i clearly could see that they were using some sort of an auto-aim mod. they alone scored 43 out of the 50 points. IS HALO REACH BEING MODDED NOW? I was also saddened upon even playing infection. (one of my most favorite playlists) Due to some updates you cannot betray your teammates( infected or not), which i can see why. (before this the infected team would grieve each other non stop) but i still am against 2 main things in infection. 1: The maps. EX: "Spooky Base" Why? A: The color. B: The lack of spots for the human team. Ex: there is a crate in the red lift room, blocking most of that hallway. (i remember the good days where the entire infected team would work as a team, rushing all at once in order to kill some survivors. SECOND THING: Not giving the option for Regular maps & ALPHA ZOMBIES Im getting to the point where the only thing that is feeling like the old Halo: Reach that I remember from the golden days is "GrifBall". When all of my friends would get together we would always hop on either Swat and play on NOW REMOVED MAPS or we would play in ACTION SACK, My favorite playlist was ACTION SACK. I have no idea why Updating Halo: Reach's available map selection pool and updating some playlist options would be a problem. Within Action Sack there were games like Shotty Snipers, Hockey and Halo Ball. We are even missing the option to vote for Juggernaut in Rumble Pit. 343, please spend some time supporting the 12,000+ regular Reach players. Give us more classic maps. (before the TU) and a nice playlist. Halo: Reach was my first online game, and I love it to death. Please help me, Don't let it die. -Slapjake
Yoshi1176
Reach isn't dying, the population has been pretty steady lately. Once the next Halo releases we will probably see a fall in population but that's to be expected. I highly doubt any changes will be made to Halo Reach now, the playlists and maps that are there will probably remain forever. I still don't have a problem with Reach its fun to play regardless of the game modes, and if you want to play hockey or any of the other actionsack games just make them or download them and play customs with your friends.
Slapjake
I am not saying that the game is getting boring im just wondering why 343 would take out aspects of the game.
Akali
i wouldnt say the game is dying because it has more players playing it than halo 4 also it was hacked a long time ago so it isnt really dying
Buns
343 hasn't touched Halo Reach since a few months prior to Halo 4.
The Stig
To answer your question... No. Halo Reach is not dying. Far from it, in fact. The game is just in need of some TLC (Tender, love, care). If it were to receive one last title update or even a playlist update, the game would be back to perfect status. But like Bnus said, 343 has yet to consolidate the playlists in Halo Reach since approximately 2 months before Halo 4's release. They promised they would, but they have yet to make good on their word... Now as for the game being full of modders, I would have to say, no its still normal. I think what you encounter was either a severe form of lag, or a basic form of modding. But it was dumb luck. An isolated incident. Because over the years I have played Reach, and even my most recent escapades though its virtual battlefields, I have only run into a handful of modders. You could count the occurrences on one hand. So, the game is still relatively the same as always was, albeit with a tinge smaller population, but that's to be expected from a game as old as Reach. Yes you will encounter more modders now, as compared to release, but that's normal considering.... Edited March 16, 2014 by The Stig

Mr Biggles
I doubt Reach is dying after H4 alot of people went back to Reach because they didnt like the direction H4 was heading in Halo 3 / Reach have died really, they don't have the population they once had, which is no surprise, people always want the newest thing. Caboose The Ace
Well at points Biggles I have seen many times that Halo Reaches population was higher than Halo 4s population and one time I even remember Halo 3s being higher than Halo 4s so I would say they all have a decent population. Mr Biggles
Well at points Biggles I have seen many times that Halo Reaches population was higher than Halo 4s population and one time I even remember Halo 3s being higher than Halo 4s so I would say they all have a decent population. That's only at certain points. If we're talking continuously, then its being going down slowly.
