Phantomlord No1
Will Pre-Ordering Halo CEA give you a bonus? Because Then I would be thinking of Pre-Ordering it.
Jacob
Only time will tell, but knowing GameStop they'll give you some special color for your spartan if you pre-order from them.
CsDarKnight
Probably a Invite for Halo 4 Beta like Halo: ODST invite for Reach.
Kyle K
Probably a Invite for Halo 4 Beta like Halo: ODST invite for Reach. I Hope
SilentCO1
I'm hoping a Beta for Halo 4. This should only be if you pre-order or buy it the day it comes out or people would just by the game to get into the Halo 4 Beta.
Phantomlord No1
I hope it's a special helmet, and that the beta will come by itself, because I my not have Gold for the beta
Spectral Jester
Will only pre-order it if there is a special something otherwise it will be a day 1 purchase
Twinreaper
It wouldnt be a release without an extra. Every game after Halo 2 had some sort of special attached to the version, and the fact that you pre-ordered. With Reach, those of us that pre-ordered got a special chest perm. And depending on the version, you got a helmet or something else. i am sure 343 or Gamestop or the others will give us something. They have to....right? I mean c'mon....it's Halo CEA!!!! Phantomlord No1
One quick question- the preorder gift that I got form halo reach was a recon helmet. The chest thing- where do you get that? Bc ove seen some ppl with that.
Twinreaper
The chest armor perm was an exclusive that Bungie gave Gamestop to distibute with Reach. Many other retail outlets and online stores received the same type of thing. Bungie had a lot of leftover armor perms that were never compiled with the shipping game. They used these extras to give out to retailers to entice people to pre-order. They are one of a kind and can never be unlocked via the armory outside the official code that was given to you by the retailer. Now that of coarse can change over time. It is possible we will see those things in the armory, but a very high credit price.

AvengingCrusade
Um, a Beta invite is veeeery unlikely, Halo 4 doesn't come out for about another year (Holiday 2012 - That means around September 2012 people) So far there isn't any pre order bonus, but its still smart to pre order because of all the rushing people wanting to go and get the game. I am pre ordering it. I mean its only 40 bucks, not to much of a hassle.
conan 118
Only time will tell, but knowing GameStop they'll give you some special color for your spartan if you pre-order from them. yeah but with special flames from them or special elites or spartans
Spectral Jester
and not forgetting the 48hr xbox live pass inside the box, which didnt work lol..... The chestpiece was nothing to shout about, it was really something to wear for the first few games then that was it, you unlocked something better. but for the first week you were a god lol. Twinreaper
I felt the same way Spectral. Iw as pissed that Ididnt pre-order to get the perm. Then is aw how lame it was and all the unlockables from the armory...and I forgot all about that armor  I didnt even try the live code cause I had bought my kids and wife the family gold. It didnt work at all? Did Microsoft at least compensate you for the code? I'm interested on that one.
AvengingCrusade
and not forgetting the 48hr xbox live pass inside the box, which didnt work lol..... The 48 hour passes dont work for existing gamertags
Spectral Jester
no the 48hr pass didnt work at all..... Rang Microsoft who said it was an inactive code??? When I asked how I could activate it, was told to take it to a game shop and they would activate it. Needless to say the game shops thought I was talking utter rubbish. To be quite honest I couldnt be bothered to take it any further... So still it sits there in my Reach box unused,,
AvengingCrusade
Mainly cause places like Gamestop dont care about 48 hour passes. They expect people to get the 3 month or year plans, or the newer Family plan. I personally am doing the 3 month plan
Phantomlord No1
It doest work???? Oh f, I was planning on using it later this summer.............
Twinreaper
See, now that is just sad ass lame customer service. I can understand that from a business standpoint, you want to maximize the profit by pushing off larger scale Live plans, but they really need to start taking the gamer base into conscideration. A good majority of gamers, even the hardcore, are casual. They all have real lives and have real expenses, even the parents of the kids that play. Having those type of codes and giving someone the runaround is just plain idiotic and criminal in mind. But then again, I will say that the family plan is a great option. I get up to 4 gamertags on my family plan, and you can add them whenever you want. Looking back, paying only $100 for 4 people to use Live for a year was a pretty sweet deal. Ends up only being $25 a year for me, my wife, my son and my daughter.
AvengingCrusade
Yeah, they do need some other ways to make money though
theULTIMATE217
That would be cool if you got the armor you saw on masterchief during the halo 4 trailer. but they will mostlikely make it the beta invite.
Spectral Jester
thats probably what we start with, Master Chief clearly got a make over in stasis
Twinreaper
I wonder how they will address that? I mean sure, he is going to look all shiny and new with the shaders and development tools, but where is our explination of how he goes from battleworn, to perfectly fine? Did Cortana pack a picnic basket with some goodies? Did he take a good hot shower and put on some new wears? can you imagine how stinky that man must be? My god the skid marks alone in his jockies is prolly enough to clog a Pillar of Autumn sized toilet!
the Arby
I am 99,9999% sure about it, that there will be a big legendary/anniversary edition. Its logical that there has to be a special edition for Halo, because its (already) 10 years ago, since Halo: Combat Evolved was released. The Anniversary (Birthday) of the Halo franchise must be celebrated !!!!
