SL Fusion
Hello everyone! In this topic I would like to talk about features and items that have been in previous Halos that would benefit Halo 5's Forge Mode, such as: A big forge world where players could create huge maps and races etc. Caves and waterfalls that were in Reach's Forge world. Different biomes like in reach where there was the small flat map at the top and the canyon etc. More maps designed for forge mode such as foundry and sandbox. I know that 343 and Bungie didn't have the power to put in climate changes in forge mode because of the Xbox 360's power. But with Halo 5 being shipped on Xbox One, I believe there is no reason why the forge shouldn't have climate changes. These climate changes could be like : Snow in higher parts of the map and rain in the lower parts of the map. The climate changing items could be like the special FX globes. Items I think that the items in halo 4 were poor, given the fact that they worked so hard in what was an amazing game. The space map was a good feature but the items in the map weren't that exciting. In foundry, sandbox and forge world there were items specific to the color and shape of the map. For example there were Brownish, box shaped items in Foundry because of the warehouse it was in. In sandbox there were rock-type items that you would see in a desert like triangles that could make a pyramid. In forge world the items where greyish and dullish in appearance but they suited the forerunner type map that was forge world. 343 need to make better items to suit the environment of the map. When it comes to vehicles, I think that the spectre should make its return as well as some bigger vehicles such as dropships that could be used in invasion type gamemodes. One thing the really shined in Halo 4 was the weapons. 343 were very good at balancing the weapons at making the power weapons at certain parts of the map. Last of all I would like to congratulate 343 for listening to fans and bringing back Halo 2 and the rest of Halo Master Chief Collection. Halo 1, 2 and 3 really made Halo what it is today and I expect hundreds of millions of gamers to buy Halo MCC and Halo 5 Guardians... Thankyou
BeckoningZebra1
Great list, I would love to have the ability to change the climate of a map, maybe even have the ability to control the weather. It'd be awesome to choose precipitation and the intensity of it like Heavy Snow, Light Snow, Snow Fog, etc. I really hope Halo 5's forge takes advantage of the Xbox One's power. rrhuntington
Snow is so underused in Halo that I just miss it. Ever since Halo:CE's Two Betrayals and AOTCR and a few of the Arbiter's Halo 2 missions, it's been sort of non-existent. Halo 3 had snow on the ground in a few levels, and so did Reach, but it just wasn't the same for some reason. Halo 4 didn't have any at all except for on Spartan ops missions. If the entire game of ODST can have rain, then I want to see frosty's revenge take over Halo 5 in some way, shape, or form. Whether it be in the campaign, or I can make my own winter wonderland in forge.
Caboose The Ace
^ Actually the Halo 3 engine was not advanced enough to have rain so Bungie had to improvise and give the illusion the game had rain effects.

At this point though... we're advance enough. SNOw Snow like Snow.
Twinreaper
Weather can be added to any map and be added to forge easily actually. It would just require the maps to be per-arranged to contain the Cluster Points and Cluster Palette sections specified ahead of time before compiling the maps. But the drawback is that certain weather effects may lag gameplay and cause other issues. Aside form the obvious one, being increased map size, which means longer loading times. Useful Dave 54
I would like it if they brought back flame grenades from halo 3. They were more fun than the newer one from halo 4.
BATMAN
I would like it if they brought back flame grenades from halo 3. They were more fun than the newer one from halo 4. And on that note, I really miss the spike grenades. They were too much fun.
depressant
I don't know if weather changing would be possible, but if not, we need maps with different environments. There could be snowy, rainy, green, and indoor maps in like a base or something. There has to be variety, and maps with more open space would be good too so you can do more races and other different structures.
