Is not JL
I use a wired connection for my Xbox 360, and I've also set up Port-Forwarding and put my Xbox in the DMZ of my router to make sure I get the best internet connection. Does the port-forwarding and putting into DMZ actually do anything when I use a wired connection instead of Wifi? I'm wondering this because I continuously switch out the ip for my Xbox and my 3DS for when I play online with my 3DS, and if possible I'd like to minimize the need for all the changing of settings. Eqwinoxe
It should. Dont quote me. Since your directly connected to your router, so any changes to your router will affect your Xbox, as like I said, you are directly into your router. I'm not that tech savy with wires/routers/Xbox, so anything that is wrong. Tell me, I will learn.
GermanShepherdD
You need to always make sure to change the dmz when trying to port forward even on a lan connection. The only time you would not need to port forward/change dmz is if you are plugging directly into the modem and not the router. :3
