The Destiny beta is closing soon for a two day maintenance , then Xbox players will get a chance to play Destiny and get a little slice of a much larger world.
 
 
Here is a thread of top tips and tricks I and any fellow Guardians have compiled to help you fight the darkness.

1 The first thing you should do is complete the five story missions as you receive rewards like a sparrow and a heavy weapon during the main quest.
 
2 Find the five golden chests... these chests hold some decent loot for new players and for finding them all you get a upgraded sparrow.

3 The best way to earn gear is to play a Strike, there is only one strike but it is well worth the effort. ( I have gotten most of uncommon gear and weapons from striking )

 

4 Don't underestimate the turrets on the Crucible moon map, they are serious damage deals to Guardians and to vehicles alike. The best turret placement is near b. Be warned you are quite exposed so shoot first as questions later.

 

5 Try out every class, every class if different in every way and it is the best course of action to try them out and see what fits you best.
