who's the new character

I know the new character is a guy,and he is new to the series, but who exactly is he. He also seems to work for oni based on the symbol on his armor.

His name is Jameson Locke, not Clarke.

 

Now relating to the OP, the new character is Agent Jameson Locke. An ONI Section 3 Spartan IV (In Nightfall it is before he obtains his Spartan IV status).

Not much is known except he is:

 

A Spartan you will be playing as in Halo 5.

A black male.

Searching for Chief

and is starring in the new movie Halo: NIGHTFALL that comes with the MCC.

 

There's some other things but they are bits and pieces. Nothing too important.

Locke is a oni special artifact and retrieval expert and assasin, He was orphaned during the covenant when his planet was glassed. A part of his spec sheet is on one of those videos released to advertise xbox channel. I can't remember which one but it had kiki wolfkil on it.
