This is where you post any ideas for assassination animations for upcoming Halo games. I'll start with an example:

 

Plasma Grenade Assassination: Player kicks player to the ground, drops a plasma nade on him/her and runs off.

 

You can post what you guys think of other people's ideas, (as long as it's not a single sentence post that says "Yeah, that's cool" or "No, that's bad".) you can give modifications of existing ideas and come up with your own ones.

 

Get creative and go wild :)

I got a modification of your idea, Jack. Grab a Plasma Grenade from the enemy player's supply, activate it, and slam it onto his face hard enough to knock him down. That way he can't chase you, and he flails blindly until BOOM!

 

Now here are a few more ideas.

 

-Fotus returns and has a face impalement headbutt assassination.

 

-Take deactivated Energy Sword handle, press it against enemy's back or neck, THEN turn it on.

 

-Use shaft of Gravity Hammer to launch enemy up, then spin around and bat him away. He dies instantly, and if you're in an open map, he flies out of the map. If you're in a tight space, he ricochets all over the walls.

 

-Assassinate Hunters like in Halo: FUD using a grenade. This should only be available on higher difficulties though, so that the higher intelligence of the AI prevents it from being too easy to kill Hunters.

-When an enemy is next to a bottomless pit or a drop high enough to die from fall damage, the player can just throw him/her off.

 

By the way, modification of Axilus' Fotus idea: Grabs victim, tosses him onto his helmet and IMPALED.

That Spiker idea is genius. You could also impale them with the spikes from behind, on both sides of their back, then twist the weapon for a spine break.

 

The second one already exists in the form of a Sparta Kick assassination in Reach, lol.

 

...Ok, that is a way better Fotus idea.

I love both of those, especially the Spiker because that's my fav weapon of all time.

 

I actually found the older thread for this, but who cares. Here is what I posted on that thread:

 

 

 

*Victim must be in crouched position, assaulter must have some type of precision weapon or pistol, but none that are forerunner.*

 

 

Once initiated, the assaulter will knee the victim unbelievably hard in the head, making him/her drop to a 1 arm/ 2 knees touching the ground position. You take whatever weapon you're holding, stick it in their ear, (hard enough to where you actually tilt their head) and blow their brains out from ear to ear. (I'd say this would look best with a pistol, but any precision weapon will work.)

 

 

 

*Assaulter must have shotgun type weapon equipped.*

 

 

 

Assaulter turns the victim around, crouches and puts the barrel of the shotgun into victim's stomach. (The shotgun is pointing upwards towards the sky, but against the victim's belly) When the shotgun fires the victim is flung backwards for a short distance in the air. If it is a forerunner shotgun, the victim disintegrates in the air.

 

 

 

*Gravity Hammer is required for assaulter*

 

 

 

Assaulter kicks victims leg in right behind their knee, and reels back for a hammer strike with the spiked end while the victim lies on the ground on a flat back. The spike breaches the visor, kills the victim, and is then pulled out.

 

 

 

*No requirements*

 

 

 

Assaulter runs up behind victim, jumps, grabs the victim by the head while still in the air, slams their face into the ground, and then stomps on their head. (The first part of this assassination is called a "Bulldog")

 

 

 

*Victim must be a grunt*

 

 

 

Assaulter takes combat knife, stabs the grunt's methane take, pulls his knife out, and watches the grunt fly like a balloon that had the air let out of it.

 

 

 

*1/100th chance of happening, must be against hunter, must have grenade equipped.*

 

 

 

If you've seen Forward Unto Dawn, and Master Chiefs signature move on that Hunter, that's pretty much it.

 

 

 

Yes, I think the assassinations should be a little more gruesome.

Yeah but it doesn't make use of the drop, it's just there to look pretty. The enemy is already dead so the drop has no effect. Also, love your version of the Spiker idea.

These three. They are genius. The Bulldog should involve a front flip while grabbing their head, to make it more impressive and forceful when they slam down.

 

The grunt assassination is the best. By far.

Brute Shot returns. Player come from behind enemy and slashes across enemies' back with blade on the Brute Shot. The enemy stumbles forward and turns toward player. Player turns Brute Shot around with knife end facing enemy and rushes at the enemy. Enemy is lifted up with blade still inside them and slammed into ground.

I have a modification for that too. Attacker slashes enemy in the back, so the enemy turns around. The attacker then holds the Brute Shot parallel to his body while jamming the blade upward into the enemy's neck...then fires one shot so the recoil pulls the blade up through the enemy's face.

For DUAL wielding energy swords: attacker trips enemy to the ground and stabs into torso with both energy swords

 

Spiker, Brute Shot, Mauler: attacker turns enemy around, then slashes the weapon's blade across the visor, slicing the visor and killing the enemy

 

For ELITES only: enemy must be close to a wall. Attacker flips the enemy around, and slices his energy dagger or energy sword through the enemy's visor, bashing him against the wall, killing him.
