BodybuilderDrew
Master Chief Collection 1) What Retailers are confirmed for midnight releases? If any. For those retailers and retail locations that claim to "not yet know" if they will be having a midnight release, when will they know or rather when will they be able to tell the consumer? 2) I know that the pre-load is avalible now, And as someone with a mediocre connection (not by choice, rural area = Motorola Wi-max technology = 3mbps dwnl 1-1.5upl) Will a pre-load of the 20gb Update be possible? The answer to these two questions will be critical in many people making the decision to either buy a physical or retail copy. Thanks to anyone who can answer this or comments on this thread at all
Unease Peanut
1) That completely depends on the retailers themselves. Just ask around or look it up somewhere on the interwebz. 2) The 20 GB update will be for both digital and hard copies. It might take a while yes, but it's certainly possible of you give it some time.

Thanks for the reply Peanut, and kk about #1 ty But about number 2, was only asking because I don't have university that day however it looks like I wont be playing because the update will take me like 24hours to complete :,( since im lucky if i can download things at 300kb/s. If they could somehow give digital copy owners a chance to download the update in advance as well it could help many people like me
Twinreaper
Unfortunatly I don't see how it will be possible to allow players to download an update when the console has no way of detecting the game in the tray, or it's relevant save/installed data on the system. Anytime an update for a game is available in the past for all halo titles, you arent able to download it directly from the markletplace. It's only available in-game. Besides, allowing ANYONE with or without the game the chance to download a patch file like that and store it locally on the HDD is a big risk! Anytime a patch comes down, it patches files internally then encrypts it. Imagine modders or hackers getting their hands on complete in tact compress patch files from the HDD! And if that isn't enough, the patch file likely also has the decryption and resigning keys for the XEX and dependent files.
