As a war simulator community, we will officially transfer over our main wars to the Xbox One, so that we will be ready for the upcoming HALO 5: Guardians video game! Forerunner Conflict is now 8 years old, and is one of the oldest surviving HALO-based communities around! Hello! My name is L3g3ndarY NovA and I am here to tell you about the war simulator community that is Forerunner Conflict. What is a war simulator community you ask? In a nutshell, it is a community that provides an authentic military-like atmosphere to create intense and explosive battles in the HALO universe. There are two armies; the R.E.D.D.(Royal Enforcement Deployment Division) and the B.L.U.E. (Brotherhood Legion of United Exiles), who "battle" every Sunday night at 6PM (EASTERN TIME ZONE) over various maps to gain control of a "war map" that we have created. The objective of each army is to conquer as many maps as possible and then finish the weaker army off at the Capital map (historically it is a popular 8v8 map). In a war simulator, each army has a ranking system, and each army also has Battalions, Companies, and Squads. The "Wars" (as we call them) use a variety of game types, some simple such as SLAYER and CTF, and others more unique and custom-made, but in the end all feel like an actual war setting in the HALO universe! Forerunner Conflict also offers a variety of contests, tournaments, and community events for people to enjoy as well as win prizes! ***See bottom of post if you are already in a clan/community.

 

History of our community:
Our community was formally established in June of 2006 (yes, all the way back in the days of Halo 2), which means we've been around for OVER EIGHT YEARS. Throughout Halo 2, our precursor community names have gone through various changes, the most notable ones being Red vs. Blue Wars, Allies vs. Axis, and Galactic Wars; each having faltered due to a weak foundation of rules and systems. However, in June of 2006 we officially established Red vs. Blue Retaliation, with the intent of setting a strong foundation of rules and systems which would create a solid structure for years to come (which has allowed us to last thing long and this strong). We would officially change the name to Forerunner Conflict by the start of Halo 3 for uniqueness-sake. Through the years we've gone through many positive changes to make our wars more authentic and fun. Currently, there are approximately 150 soldiers in Forerunner Conflict.

 

This all sounds awesome! How do I join!?
Well first off, you should visit our fantastic website and forum boards, register, and enlist for whichever army you would like (PLEASE REGISTER WITH YOUR ACTUAL GAMERTAG, and please put who you were referred by. In this case, it would be L3g3ndarY NovA). Our forums are http://fcwars.net/. But, you can't immediately jump into battle once you enlist! Even in the actual world, all enlisted must go through a BOOT CAMP. Yes, you heard me, BOOT CAMP. This has been a trademark of our community since the day it was created. All members must go through a BOOT CAMP, in which they will be told the rules, regulations, and will be shown several military-like tactics that can come in handy in the actual battles or even matchmaking! We also use BOOT CAMPS to weed out anyone who isn't interested or not taking us seriously. To partake a boot camp, please enlist on the forums and you will be contacted by a drill instructor.

Though our community is a war simulator and we take our roles seriously, our number one focus is about RESPECT and making sure everyone is having fun. Because in the end that's why people play video games, to have FUN! If you join, don't hate someone because they are in a different army, our job is to make sure everyone is friendly and having a fun time, while at the same time being competitive! We encourage people to create many friendships in Forerunner Conflict, regardless of what army they may be in!

Sorry about the massive delay between posts everyone, but FC is back in full swing now that the MCC has cleaned itself up! This week, BLUE is attacking Waterworks (H2) and REDD is assaulting Heretic (H3). We want all of you guys with us in the action to either join the BLUE defence or enlist with the REDD advance. Capital Battle hype! In a crazy string of events, both REDD and BLUE are SIMULTANEOUSLY assaulting each other's capital planets! Tonight, the first Forerunner Conflict war of Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be concluded with the bloodiest and most competitive battles yet! Will BLUE conquer Bloodline (H2A), or will REDD storm Delta Facility (H2A Forge)? Only time will tell!

The wars have officially been won by the almighty BLUE!! A big congratulations to both teams in their efforts, but BLUE just pulled that little bit further ahead and claimed victory over REDD. We now go into our peacetime running as we prepare for our 9th anniversary events happening all this weekend!
