question about playlists not being ranked yet

In case you didn't know 343 changed it to where there will only be one playlist ranked at launch.

 

With that being said, will our stats count as unranked stats if we play the soon to be ranked playlists or will they be added together with our ranked stats post-rank update? Also, will we start as rank 1 regardless of playing a playlist before it becomes ranked?
