As a parent I believe swearing shows a lack of discipline and having the ability to express yourself. Archaic right? Sorry. He is brigadier Level 3, and is pretty good. He enjoys doing the clans and clan raids but many clans (no offense) have immature, lippy teens that spend their time cussing and talking versus doing tactics and clan wars. He's probably around the age of 10-12? Halo is meant for ages 17 and up. There is swearing in the game, and finding a group of players for him that do not swear is going to be very difficult. But I understand your point, that is why I'm with him while he is playing. Actually kids his age do start playing Halo which is why Halo has such a bad reputation. Big highschoolers with damaged psyche's trying to bully everyone. An arbitrary M rating means little to me....I see a big difference between this and COD. And this is why I am here.....are there any clans that are mature and have decorum???? and you are correct it is an uphill battle..... I noticed you didn't display a specific game that he was looking for a clan in. So I'm not sure if that fits. My clan is highly organized, and we do not condone swearing, however we arent entirely preventative of it. We do have a minimum age limit, and that seems to be the only issue. Another thing you must take into consideration is that the average behavior of the community will follow the rating of the game. The age demographic for halo is primarily high school aged teens. This can lead to some rather colorful language and topics. I hope that he can find a group that suits him and can enjoy what the community has to offer at its fullest extent.
