caesarranch
Hi everyone: First of all, I would like to wish a very happy holiday to everyone. The issue I encountered is as follows - I purchased the Halo: Master Chief Collection on the 23 of December, 2014. After purchasing the game, I was informed that those who played the game between the 11 of November and the 19 of December would receive a number of free items as an apology for the issues of the game (https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/community/blog-posts/halo-the-master-chief-collection-thank-you). I realized that I only purchased/played the game four days from the cutoff, yet I am ineligible for the items being awarded. I am extremely dissatisfied with this because I am experiencing the same issues others were experiencing four days before me even after the patch, such as uneven teams during matchmaking and absurdly long wait times in between matches, however I will receive nothing for my troubles. I was notified from a representative at Microsoft that I would receive an e-mail response within 24 hours and this would be from an official member of 343 industries. I expect to see this. Please Advise, Caesar Ranch
Unease Peanut
Well MS got it wrong again, you went to the right site at first. (Halowaypoint) However I highly doubt you will see these rewards unlocked for you. Yes it is true that it sucks that you're 4 days from the cut-off but your troubles are/were minor to what everyone on day 1 experienced. I believe this freebee is meant for those players in particular. Another reason why you probably won't get it is because in the event you get it, others who went online 1, 2 or even 5 days after will start demanding that they'll get it too. And if 343i were to give into that they might as well give it to everyone which would make it kinda pointless. Don't get me wrong, I feel for you. I'd be pretty bummed too. Just... Don't get your hopes up.
caesarranch
Thanks for the response. I'm just upset because I agree it must have been terrible for people who bought it on launch, but I'm basically in the same boat as someone who bought it on the 19th. I just don't get why I get nothing but I am facing the same problems people were facing at the cutoff. I mean, let's be honest: the critical problems were really resolved a while before that date. Unease Peanut
I know it's a bummer. But they had to set the bar somewhere and with the latest update they probably deemed it working. At least well enough for the people after the date to experience minor issues.
caesarranch
Wow, that is a bummer. The standard for games has kinda dropped nowadays. I mean, what with Assassin's Creed Unity and now this. . .
