cajun1
shouldn't you, if you are trying to promote your game, at least give us a portion of the game to play. At least for those of us who dont participate in the playlist scenario of pvp... Since your company hasnt, I may rethink buying the game even though I have been a Haloer from the beginning..Whomever at your company decided to do just a two map playlist was wrong in their decision ... You should do another beta before the game comes out with the pve portion of it.. I have heard of a lot of people are not buying the game because the beta was just a pvp playlist.. Think about it, before you alienate your hardcore fan base...
RedStarRocket91
Halo's betas have always been multiplayer-specific: those of us who enjoy PvE will just have to wait until the final product is released, although hopefully given 343i's use of the Halo Channel so far we'll see some gameplay in the run-up to launch. Given that we're still nine months away from launch, right now it's quite possible that most enemy models, weapons, and AI simply haven't even been coded yet - in this respect, PvP is a much simpler thing to hold a beta on. I think it's also a bit unfair to suggest that no PvE demo will result in 'hardcore' fans not buying the game, as I'm fairly sure that most 'hardcore' fans will either buy the game just to see what happens in the story, or make a decision based on how much they enjoy the multiplayer, which is traditionally the most important aspect of Halo for a majority of Spartans. You may not have heard, but the beta is actually going to expand over the course of its run to include a total of seven maps, with more weapons and gametypes to come, so if you're looking for more variety then just keep logging in and playing.

Game Boyo
Additionally, the Beta is not meant to promote the final product, but rather have it playtested by the public in order to discover feedback and possible issues early on in the development process. It does however have a side-effect of promoting the game, but again that is not it's primary intent; nor is the intent to show off all of the features included in the final release. cajun1
I will probably buy the game because it is "Halo". I do feel like they should have done a pve portion in the beta too... Destiny did, and it was great.... so have other games..343 could also... and thats just my opinion.. and of course, everyone has one. Caboose The Ace
^ Pve isn't worth even having a beta for I think. Why? because lets face it apart from the fresh story and characters it will be a Halo game. You fight an Elite you know what you are going to get. You get in Warthog you know what your going to get. Multiplayer is the main reason most people buy Halo 5 and continue to play it long after they finish the campaign and so should always be the main focus. Destiny was mostly about PVE istead of PVP so ofcourse that was their main focus for the beta. The onle PVE element Halo had is the campaign, which at this time might not be ready for the public yet and/or might spoil the story a bit too much. Some goes for other PVE elements that were ever featured in Halo like Firefight.
