Popular Post The Director
I can't believe it's come to this, but recent events have made it clear we need to be more specific about them as apparently members don't have common sense. Harassment of members, be it sexual, abusive, or simply unwanted, will be dealt with at moderator discretion up to and including a permanent ban from the forums. Examples of harassment include but are not limited to: A. Sending a member private messages of a lewd nature. B. Sending a member a large quantity of private messages. C. Consistently giving a member attention that is unwanted. This is not limited to private messaging, but also forum posts, status updates/comments, and pretty much everywhere else on the site. It's also not gender specific. Guy harasses girl, guy gets in trouble. Girl harasses guy, girl gets in trouble. Guy1 harasses guy2, guy1 gets in trouble. Girl1 harasses girl2, girl1 gets in trouble. And so on and so forth. This rule used to be considered a common sense rule, however with recent events we thought we should make it clear to all members that harassment is unacceptable. So here's how this is going to work from now on. If you are being harassed, please report the harassment using the site's report system or by PMing a community or site moderator. If you do not report the member that is harassing you, no action may be taken against that member. This means that if we suspect that the member is harassing you, we will not interfere unless you tell us they are. This also means that you are not to take 'vigilante justice' (i.e. public or private shaming, flaming, asking others to flame in your stead, attempting to provoke a conforntation, etc.) against the member harassing you. If you are harassing members, you will be given disciplinary action ranging from a non-pointed warning to a full and permanent ban from the site. Harassment is taken very seriously, so you might not be given a warning at all except to explain to you why you are banned.
