I'm still a one day old member so... :/ If this is the right place then yeah. Halo The Television Series. The most recent news is that it's airing on the Showtime network. It's supposed to come out this fall but things tend to change. I'm both excited and nervous for this. They're putting my favorite video game franchises on television and Xbox One. It could succeed and be an amazing Sci-Fi show or it could suck. The biggest questions on my mind is this; What is the story going to be? Because Halo has a very large universe. There are a lot of story arcs in the Halo universe that could be adapted into a television show. Or they could have an original story. But that's riskier. They could screw up really bad if they do that. Or they could blow our minds. What would you like to see in the Halo Television Series coming this fall? Is there a novel you want it to be based on? Do you want to see something original? Let me know. Because this, for me at least, is a very big deal. I want this to succeed. What about you? *This isn't fake by the way. Melody Posted January 30, 2015 Report Share Posted January 30, 2015 Microsoft talked about a Halo TV series coming in their press conference, although I do not know much about it, I hope they make more anime series like in the Halo: Legends movie. I'm big fan of anime, so if they were to do that I would watch a lot of the series, but I wouldn't know until I actually watch it for myself. HIWBC Posted January 31, 2015 Report Share Posted January 31, 2015 I personally heard about it when they first announced it at E3 and then just assumed they were talking about Halo: Nightfall and they were taking pride in it being directed by Steven Spielberg but then I started watching Nightfall and there was literally nothing saying about Spielberg but now, now I'm intrigued. I now know after doing some research that there will be a Halo TV series like actually on people's little screens in the living room, to be directed by Spielberg ! This is going to be so cool! I can't wait for it! But yeah, I'm more than 100% sure with it being directed by Spielberg it'll have a 100% original story and with Halo's deep lore and what not, I'm pretty sure they'll conjure up something for an original story . AKA forerunners and flood! and hay maybe if they have Christopher Schlerf on the team at the time we may even see a... do I dear say... (gulp)... I think the name comes solely from the shape of the installation. I don't know if the Forerunners named it this themselves or if it was dubbed by The Covenant Maybe there's also some kind of theological significance to it as well since Forerunners are seen as gods.
