Popular Post Yoshi1176
Over the two years or so that I have been here I have turned from an annoying little brat that couldn't spell, to a well known member of the forum who can’t spell. I’ve taken breaks from the site before, one when I first joined and one about a year and a half ago when I was ripped from the forums against my will. I have always found my way back though, not merely for my love of Halo, but my love of the community. Being one of those “non popular” kids at school, I have always stuck close to my friends because they were nice and acted human towards me, as I became more social I gained more friends never leaving my original friends though. Here on the forums, it was easy to find a place to fit in, it was easy to find friendly faces to talk to. I wasn’t an outcast I was welcomed, and I am greeted with open arms every morning when I log on and wished goodnight every night when I log off. The Forum is my home away from home; it’s a haven for me and a lot of others on the site. Becoming MoM is a blessing for me, because it lets me know that I am doing something right, that what I am doing is changing the forum for the better. It prides me to say that I follow in the footsteps of all my good friends who have become MoM before me. They may not know it but they are my role model, I see the good that they do and I know that’s what I want to do. Being able to get involved as much as I have the last few months has been some of the most fun I have had in a long time. Being able to get as involved as I have over the last few months has been great and I can’t wait to continue giving back to the community, whatever form that may be in. There are quite a few members of the forum that have impacted me on the forums and in Halo and I want to thank them for that. Drizzy, thanks for being there and epitomizing what a good member looks like. You were the first person I spoke to on this site way back when you were green working for Comms. You Got me to stay, and you continue to encourage me to do better. Thank you. Church, over the last few weeks you have answered hundreds of questions of mine and directed me in the right direction. You gave me support on my congress as rocky of a start it is having you stood behind me and helped as much as possible, I cannot thank you enough. Edward, This one is self explanatory, from the 40 minute loading screens on Halo to that crazy shoutbox night way back when you have been a friend. You are one of my many role models on the site, you go above and beyond in your work and I admire that. It is a pleasure calling you a friend. Vitamin, I cannot even count how many hours you have put in helping me in my campaigns. I would never have been president if it weren’t for you. With the second election and a victory recently I have spoken to you for what has seemed like minutes but it feels like I have known you for years. You genuinely are a great friend. Fishy, I admire your stories and the infinite support you give your friends, whether it be me or someone else you are a representation of what friendship looks like. I love talking to you and I love working with you on my campaigns. Thank you and your ideas a million times over. Sparky, the one that started it all. You aren’t called that anymore but that’s who I know you as. The countless hours we played Xbox, the countless conversations and the constant wise words you have pumped into me over the last two or so years whether it was here or on RoG I thank you for that. You gave me one of my first true experiences of community playing on Halo and I can’t express how much I love you for that. Self Destruct, besides entertaining me with your amazing art, and your hilarious nonsense, you are most importantly my friend. I thank you for keeping the forum cheerful and staying and talking for long periods of time, having someone to talk to is one of the best things and you offer that, thank you. Ledgend, well hmm… I don’t know what to say besides you are a great friend. Oh wait, your funny, nice to talk to, upbeat, and you put up with my shenanigans. I love you in the manliest way possible. RSR and Twam, this is less of a personal thanks but more of a thank you from everyone. Thank you for pouring your heart and soul into this community without you two we would be no were, just random people playing Halo, and what’s the fun in that? I want to wrap this up because I want this post to be exactly 1000 words, but before I am finished I want to speak to the newer green members of the site, and even those trusted and dedicated members who feel they are not needed or liked here. This forum is a community and it takes time to get to know people, some more than others. Heck when I first joined I was scared out of my mind by Azaxx but now he is my best friend. Be social, talk to us we want to hear from you guys. I always say it, you make the forum what it is. I look forward to talking and playing Halo with you. Once again thanks for this is an honor and a privilege. Love all of you guys!
rrhuntington
"The home away from home." Exactly. Some of us left and ventured into the howling dark, and did not return. Some of us find our way back. But this place will always be home for those who've even left the smallest impact. Because when you are gone, the people that you have left feel a void that was specifically reserved for them. Time and again it amazes me how much 343ICF can change peoples life, and bring out the better in us. It shows that all of this is less about the words on the screen, and more about the person behind the screen. Your genuine compassion for all the people here shines Yoshi... Makes sense why your the Prez then, huh? You being MoM was an overdue happening, and I'm happy that it has finally happened. Congrats MoMMy, enjoy the pink.
Drizzy_Dan
This was really nice Yoshi, it brought me back to a simpler time when that's all anyone around here cared about: community and the family that is 343iCF. I think we're progressing in a good direction because of things like this and members like you and many others that aren't afraid to like this place and show how much they do. I remember back when you joined and your profile picture wasn't Conan related at all and neither was your profile. You had the cyan Spartan with an Energy Sword . This was a long time coming. Good on ya Yashi. Edit: Didn't see that yet because I was typing. AGREE 100% WITH THAT^^

Fishy
Hey now girls, I tried to address the whole community. If anything, Yoshi addressed the staff more than anything. I can argue about it, but I'm not going to. I'll just report, block, and move on. Besides the point, thanks Yoshi. I'm glad I mean something to you. Other than someone to laugh at.

Helix Amell
Your speech has astounded me! You are truly inspirational for the people of the forums no matter who they are- that is what I like about you. I hope you can continue to become that role model, even if you don't have MoM anymore I highly congratulate you on MoM, enjoy it.
