Popular Post VinWarrior
A new trailer is up for Halo 5: Guardians that depicts Agent Locke possibly looking to kill the Master Chief. No wait, not possibly, definitely! This came so far out of left field I don't even know where to begin. Xbox's YouTube.com channel released our Halo 5: Guardians trailer today, along with a new episode of Hunt the Truth. The trailer shows Locke with his DMR walking through a beaten and battered colony world and confronting the Chief, standing battered and injured against a memorial in his name. Locke chastises and mocks Chief whilst preparing to kill him. He pulls out his pistol, and the trailer ends. This also reveals the release date, October 27th, 2015. As pointed out by Yoshi, the infinity sits in the background, looking a bit battered itself, and it seems this is the same location as a piece of concept art from a while ago. We will get more answers as to why Locke looks to kill Chief later on, but as of right now, Agent Locke sees Chief as a traitor, and he is on the hunt to kill him. What is your opinion on this trailer? I am so pumped personally for October 27th, HALO 5 FTW. Comment below and give me your thoughts! Thanks for reading chaps! EDIT: Trailer 2 is now up, also on YouTube.com, this one shows things from a different point of view. As Chief wanders the same desolate wasteland as before, he pulls up to Locke, sitting defenseless at Chief's statue. He mocks Locke, asking him if what he did and all he sacrificed was worth catching him. He looks up at the Infinity, possibly symbolizing that Locke put the Infinity in danger and ended up destroying it all for his goal. Chief tosses his Assault Rifle to the side and pulls out his pistol, saying Locke's mission is over, and that his is just beginning. Now obviously all of this is bonkers and makes no sense... That's it. This post has been promoted to an article

Yoshi1176
May I point out that the scenery has some minor differences in the scenes. Things are placed differently. The differences could point away from a split campaign since the actually level/scenery would be identical.
Fishy
As a person said in the comments on YouTube: If Locke's mission has been completed and the chief is still alive... That means locke's task was not to kill chief!

I found Master Chiefs trailer to be far better. 343i really lived up to the hype on this. Master Chief sounded very upset with Lockes actions, while Locke sounded he did everything he did to put MC down. I love the direction 343i is taking. KEEP IT UP
Sniper0092
I like the atmosphere in both trailers. Maybe this is the end of the game. I also can't help but think showing different sides of the story hints this game will be an RPG. Choosing between MC or Locke to die.
rrhuntington
I'm getting those feelings again. Those feelings I've not felt since Early 2012. OOOHOOHOO, getting giddy. This is gonna be good.
Coldfreeze
The chief sounds pissed off, the infinity seems incredibly damaged. On one side we have Locke who wants to find the chief and his reasons for "betraying" the UNSC on the other hand see Chief here, about to execute Locke for everything he has done, which seems like a traiterous move, without context we don't know. Halo6 Follower
I wonder if the statue that they are leaning on is the one in the Limited Collectors Edition? Just my thoughts. Nice article Edward.

TheBritishSpartan
Possible multiple choice halo game? Or just some really cool trailers to give us a hint at both of their stories. #TeamLockeForDemActingSkills
Ranger Intel
The first trailer had me worried, then the second trailer just induced several shots of adrenaline into my system. This all means something big, and thankfully 343 have kept in mind that Chief would not easily be taken down by showing us the second trailer. I'm not in favour of Locke dying, but I'm not accepting him turning a weapon on the Chief. From what we've seen so far, it looks like Chief is pro UNSC, and Locke is pro ONI. I say this because of obvious reasons. The Chief remains to show care for other soldiers about the Infinity, indicating that he has care for members of the UNSC. This tells me that 343 Industries have not messed this all up, so far anyway. I'm looking forward to seeing more.
