Wam
In case you haven't noticed, Spartan equipment and armors have been evolving every halo game. Everybody has their preferences, and that's okay. Time to use your Spartan fashion intellect! Which Spartan armor design do you like better? Halo's most recent Spartan-IV Spartan armor? Or the bulky, (1,2,3,Reach), steel metal Pre-Halo 4 armor designs? Care to explain? VS FIGHT!
BATMAN
With the pictures provided, I'm siding with S-IV's on this one. I always chose the slimmer, more "lightly" or "basic" armors, just because I preferred their silhouette (and they looked like a smaller target). I remember a string of messages I got when Reach was in full swing. I still had my profile decked out to look like a guy's and I got your run of the mill "why is your spartan a girl? It's supposed to represent you." Coming from a guy with the Mark VI helmet with the largest pauldrons and chest piece in the game :/ 2mlg4me
rrhuntington
I like the older for more nostalgic purposes. Style mostly. But as they keep creating call backs in the SIV style, it makes me like the newer ones more. Halo 4 had a severe lack of visor, which more of the older ones had, and is something that I missed. Halo 4 had more scrunched up armor faces than visor ones.
Caboose The Ace
Halo 4 Spartans sucked because the Halo 4 art style sucked. I much prefer the much more realistic Halo Reach art style.
Wirednutt69
Halo Reach armor. ALL the way. Halo 4 armor just doesn't look like it would work.
Caboose The Ace
^ Dosent look like it would work? Can you explain a little more? Besides the stupid Fotus armour all the other suits are quite practical... The whole body is covered just like the Reach armour so what's the problem? l Xenoes l
I liked them both. Both versions have things I do and don't like. Halo 4 had better helmets but, the older versions had better armor pieces.
Wam
I liked them both. Both versions have things I do and don't like. Halo 4 had better helmets but, the older versions had better armor pieces. Yes, both had good and bad aspects. It's kind of mixed. Halo 4 armor pieces weren't based off a default torso, however (Like Halo 3 armor customization, also in Reach). Changing armor in Halo 4 would change the whole thing, where Orbital had no similarities to Venator in Halo 4. A larger number of helmets was good, and I think customization optioning goes to Halo 4. But Good helmets, shoulders, knees, and such goes to Reach.
depressant
I think the old Halo Reach armor was better. It looked more realistic with the faded, scratched up look. Also, the option to add attachments to the helmets was cool too. Halo 4 armor was cool too, with the nice bright colors and the slender armor. I think that thanks to Reach, the old armor is better. Melody
The old armour is the best armour.
Richard John Wilson
The Halo 4 Armour is the worst the Halo Universe has ever seen, everything basically looks the same and it looks nothing like it is supposed to. Take for instance Mol IV, looks nothing like the Armour Master Chief wears in Halo, and then there is the ODST, which in my opinion is a totally new invention based on the ODST Armour (which I am guessing because there are no more ODSTs. Halo 3 had a nice diverse set of Armours, the Customisation was great too. But in have to admit that Halo Reach has the best Armour sets available. I am a fan of the ODSTs, both Armour and players, so I choose the ODST when I can. Except of course in Halo 4. That said, Fotus Armour I truly like, yet if you look at my Spartan in Halo 4, you will see a mix match of Armour pieces. In conclusion, and in my own personal opinion, Halo Reach is the winner here.
