HSN6592
so I've been playing in matchmaking on halo reach, ani every once in a while i have a really rude person who says bad words, and very explicit contend. with one of the cases i told the person about a 7 yr old sibling, and they said that he,s a ################################ (you get the point). anyways i need help on knowing what to do/ how to deal with these situations. pls help im sorry if this is the wrong "area"/ topic for the forum i'm in i don't want to have to not be able to play online with the kids in the room, but if people keep randomly doing that ill have to play without my headset, and i'm a big talker. (sorry about all the grammar errors).
Yoshi1176
Well, the optiona here are pretty simple. Mute them. Now you can't hear them. Or if it's really offensive report them, but muting them would be the best option.
Fishy
Best option is to follow Yoshi's advice. Block them or mute them. Blocking works best if you never want to encounter them again. Except, there's small chances to run into them in a game. But that's really small. It also makes it so they're automatically muted, a bad review is submitted, and they can't send messages or add you. It's all up to you on how you handle it.

Yoshi and FIshy above explained that you can either block the explicit user, to prevent into getting any matches with them, or mute them ( which would be the simplest.) However, if you don't want this situation again, and you're playing Reach, you can simply filter the kinds of matches you get filtering your Match Search option (Rowdy, Lone Wolves, Team Players, etc.) It should be one of the options in the multiplayer menu. Unease Peanut
There is an option to mute everyone in a matchmaking lobby by default I believe. Should be under the audio options. Better safe than sorry I guess.
Melody
Best advice I can give is Block/Mute the player and move on. (Or your could be like me and mute everyone in every game and just play and have fun.)
