Assassin's Creed Victory Teaser - Announcement Coming May 12th

Recommended Posts

It's official - Assassin's Creed Victory is in the works for a reveal on May 12th, and you can RSVP now to see it first.

As a huge Assassin's Creed fan, I was perplexed when I noticed that E3 was fast approaching and no official Assassin's Creed Victory announcement had been made. If you were like me, then May 12th is going to be a great day for Assassin's Creed according to the game's official website and Twitter.com account. Ubisoft released a teaser showing an Assassin in midnight black robes with gold lining, holding a staff with a vulture's head in one hand, and a hidden blade being released in the other, to the sound of thunder. The tagline is 'Oppression Has To End' and seems to hint at another revolution style event like in Unity and ACIII. Fans before have indicated that black and gold surroundings in the Animus suggest Abstergo as the culprit, whereas lighter colours usually indicate the Assassin Order's official Animus, from what we can tell, Assassin's Creed Victory will have us again as an Abstergo employee, but only time will tell further details. Going to the official website reveals a gold brass knuckle with the Assassin order logo and the sounds of a pub active and about. The brass knuckle has the phrase 'Strength Through Loyalty' written on it, and opening the video in another tab shows the rest of the writings on the wooden pallet, such as 'God Save The Queen', which is ironic since today is Election Day in Britain.

UPDATE 1: According to Kotaku, the game is now called Assassin's Creed Syndicate, until proven however, we're sticking with Victory.

I'm very excited for Victory's official reveal, though Assassin's Creed Unity was disappointing, it seems Ubisoft is taking their time with revealing this, which may well be a good thing. I want to hear your thoughts though, where do you want Assassin's Creed to go next? Let me know down below! Thanks for reading!

Assassin's Creed: Unity was just a little overrated. I really hope Victory/Syndicate is a good game. From what little information you've based here, it seems no assumptions can be made yet as to what this whole idea is about. Also, that picture provided is pretty cool.

You used the word ironic in the wrong way... like so many people do. Sorry, my English teacher's pounded that into me and now I can't help to make a fuss over it.

Brass knuckles?

Oppression has to end?

Vulture Cane?

So are we playing as a modern day assassin trying to stop the riots in Baltimore?

Joking aside... looks like, from the teaser, that they are getting more and more generic with the new games.

Brass knuckles.... really?! That is... WAIT.

"Cast iron, brass, lead, and wood knuckles were made in the United States during the American Civil War (1861–1865). Soldiers would often buy cast iron or brass knuckles." -Wiki

There is your time stamp. The American Civil War. Oppression = Slaves. Has to End = Freedom. #NotBaltimore #CivilWar

I wish Ubisoft would not go in this direction with all the crap going around on the news at the moment. Not unless they are going to place some common sense into people.

Also, note it looks like two different arms. An assassin and.... a rich guy? So potentially having an assassin that was formerly a slave who is fighting for freedom?

AND the Assassins Gauntlet resembles lion or bear claws. :3

I think we already know that it's going to be set in Victorian London most likely, Mayh3m. :) Hence, "Victory". I saw some YouTubers say that last year. And those old leaked screens show the London Tower... soooo, probably true.

Much as I'd love for it to be a Civil War game, it's almost been confirmed to be Britain, for starters, the teaser page linked in the post above is a pub, not common during the civil war, with mention of 'Rooks' and the phrase 'God Save The Queen'.

During the American Civil War. Didn't say it was in the ACW. Could be after as well. However I do believe that part of the game will be during the ACW.

Could be, could easily be, yes.

However, nothing is really hinting to it besides the brass knuckles. It may be a split time-line thing.

Well, if it's true that you aren't right, you'll be really close at the minimum. :) Good detective work, sorry for being quick to criticize.

I am not the biggest fan of AC, except for the fact that I love going around killing random AIs, but I am excited for this game. Mostly because I love game releases and seeing how the game does for like a month before buying it. AC has gone on for quite a while now. Maybe not as long as COD, but it has had quite a run so far, so I'm curious how this game is going to go too.

It has been officially called Assassin's Creed Syndicate (thanks to the RSVP that most of us should've gotten through Outlook), they were going to go with Victory because it's during the Victorian Era, but now it's Syndicate. Jacob and Evie Frye (Brother and Sister) run the Brotherhood in London of 1868, during the Industrialization of their colonies. During which these two are completely different, Evie being more strategic, and Jacob being clumsy and not caring about what people say or what they think should be done (Sound familiar? *cough* Arno *cough cough*). Anyway, I like the idea of this game, especially since we'll get to use a "Rope Dart" (in a sense) to get on top of a building in merely two seconds without having to climb every building now and then because we don't get to cut the rope and repel ourselves up, like how we first started being able to do in Assassin's Creed II (Being either of ever expanding story of Ezio where it started).

Thanks to the official trailer for ACS, I'd be getting this game even if it gets bad reviews or not enough fans. This will be the first time we've been given an LARGE map in AC! So you can bet that I shall be getting this game whenever I can.
