Halo 5 AI (ally's)

Hey, this topic may not matter to a lot of people but one of the things that made halo franchise so good for me was that I had ally's that could actually help and fight with me. Unlike other FPS like battlefield and cod halo friendly Ai actually help you they aren't just program to run into a scene then for some reason die without getting hit at all unless when they trip and fall down maybe they die from hitting their heads on the ground, I don't know or they can't actually help at all because they are shooting paintball rounds or something or they can't aim. It made the game not immersive and not fun because only you could actually do anything. Halo 4 friendly Ai were not like this but hell were they stupid compared to the previous halo games. There was a part in the game where on the third level when the covenant finally showed up to fight the forerunners that both enemies were invincible to each other and only you could kill them that was stupid. The Spartans IV AI were so disappointing I mean who WASN'T EXCITED TO FIGHT ALONG OTHER SPARTANS?! But nope they were also stupid they just had better reaction time when dodging grenades and doing stupid burst shots from there assault rifle at close quarters! Halo 3 friendly AI were boss they actually did not burst in two bullets but actually full on sprayed the gun reasonably, they actually dodge the grenades when they can react in time and if it's too late they at least they try to block with their arms at least, their punches actually don't miss when they are close to the enemy and the friendly elites in that game were even more boss.
I've heard developers do this because they want the player to get some kills, if that's true then .......... Really? You know how easy it is to get a kill for your self? I could careless about that and I'm sure people are like that too and I'm pretty sure people would rather not have stupid AI that trip over when walking and dieing when they hit their heads on the ground or can't aim and do no damage at all then not getting the kill at all. I made this topic because I'm seriously sick of these friendly stupid AI that can't do anything at all I mean if they are just going to be useless or just going to die WHY EVEN PUT THEM IN THE GAME?halo 4 friendly AI weren't the worst but they are stupid compared to previous titles. I'm hoping that halo 5 has good helpful friendly AI and hearing that in the campaign that you get to be in a team now with master chief old friends I'm not gonna buy the game to see Linda sit behind a wall for 60 mins saying John take them out or I'm under fire.

Your language discredits any real argument you have. What further discredits your opinion is the fact thàt all Halo 3 AI has always lacked severely and behaved irratocally. They are all horribly programmed with even more atrocious style coding. They are horrible drivers, will often die just standing there in place shooting and missing 75% of their shots...and they provide no real AI scariness, which for the feeble minded means that enemies overlook them and always target you as the biggest threat.

 

So again, can you explain mechanically how great this AI is again?

Okay I've completely forgotten about the AI driving in halo 3 and completely agree that it was god awful and should have mentioned it however I disagree with everything else you said, I have no idea where you got the 75% of them missing their shots from unless your playing on normal or easy because difficulty those effect their performance. Give a marine a spartan laser on heroic or legendary and he will almost never miss unless they just manage to go behind cover, you can definitely see this during the covenant mission and after destroying the anti air wraith a pelican comes with a Warhog and mongoose give one of the marines a spartan later since you start with one and watch him blow destroy everything. The halo 4 AI (the friendly ones) were really bad compared halo 3 they fwere less combat efficient like they shot 2 DMR round then they wait 2 sec then fire again..... Yea that might kill what a grunt, actually no the grunt will kill the marine first because at least they know how to use their weapons and throw grenades. The Spartan IV were just a little better like I said already in my previous post they have better reaction time compared to the marines but still pretty bad. These were experiences I've had that happen most of the time when I played these games. Oh and I probably should have just said three and two, when I mentioned previous titles, halo combat evolved AI were bad
