There is one vehicle that fans love and care about. Pelicans. Ive been waiting for a pelican in halo multiplayer since Halo 3. It can be at least a passenger Pelican for all i care. Halo might be mostly about killing but what about the machinima directors around the globe. Halo Reach had a falcon helicopter a human flying vehicle with turrets and passenger seats. Halo 3 had Hornets great for machinima but they weren't big enough. If you want to please your fans take our advice.

First off not the official 343i here, we're just a fan forum.

 

Second while I'd like to see Pelicans in multiplayer please refrain from speaking for anyone other than yourself. The "If you want to please your fans take our advice" part doesn't add any value to the post and I doubt an actual 343i employee would go "Gosh! We've been doing it wrong all along! Glad this guy pointed it out!"

They are actively scanning their own forums and taking notes here and there (not everything as that would be impossible).

I hate to be the big party pooper here, but Im tired of hearing about Machinima groups whine about this.

 

Here is a novel idea.... learn to animate in 3ds Max and do whatever you want without relying on someone elses game engine. Seriously...Machinima is like a Little Tykes version of animating...

343 iIndustries please put felcon in multiplayer and forge, pelicon and you can shoot out of it, Hornet, and revenant and phantom you can shout out of it !! I really want them in the game Halo 5 Guardians multiplayer and forge to it'll make the multiplayer and forge a lot more fun and a lot of people in the world would and agree!!????

 

Please 343 industries this is next gen Xbox one the system after the Xbox 360 it has a lot more power !!????

343 has confirmed no UNSC aircraft and with the games launch so close your wish simply cannot come true. :(

Yes they do, they have the Hornet. (No rocket lock-on)

 

I'm a big halo fan and I don't really care about the pelican. I bet 80% of all Halo fans care more about the warthog than the pelican.

Doubtful. The Pelican and Warthog are well correlated with one another. As seen in Halo: CE, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo: Reach. It serves as a vehicle transport. That said, Warthog's will be Warthog's. We have Machine Gun, Gauss, Rocket, and Civilian. What else do we need besides those? They can always rip the Warthog from Halo 4 like Bungie and 343i has done for all the games. 

 

That said, Halo fans use the Warthog more as transport and a light resistance. If there's a Tank, Scorpion, Hornet, or Banshee on the map. Players will most likely go for the heavier resistance. Even if it's a Gauss Hog, the heavier/aircraft vehicles are preferred more.

As much as I love helicopters, the Falcon is inefficient and should not make a return in my opinion. Propellers? Complete let down for the UNSC Air Force. I'm personally interested in the Pelican, and would like to see more of it. I'd also like to see previous air craft, such as the Hornet, make a return and be introduced to newer aircraft. The UNSC Air Force is vital, especially with newer enemies which are best faced from above. Things are getting more complicated as newer Promethean enemies emerge, and an on-foot approach isn't always the best solution. I believe more aircraft is needed, and it would be great if we see some soon, in Halo 6 if not 5 at least.

 

Lets not forget that there's always the opportunity to see new vehicles in a sequel to Halo Wars, which is possible and has been hinted at in the past.

It would be nice to see more UNSC vehicles be put to use in-game, as it would make sense for a futuristic military to have a wide array of aircraft at their disposal. However, we also have Forerunner vehicles entering the fray now. The idea of brand new vehicles to use is much more appealing than rehashing a vehicle such as the Falcon, which was useless in multiplayer unless you had two allies with you or had some enemies jump into the rotors.

And 343 shouldn't have to spend time making features that will be used by what is an incredibly small part of the fanbase. A game studio's resources are not infinite, and they can't cater to every audience. Being able to use the work done by other programmers and artists and sound designers isn't skillful, it's just moving a camera around and pressing record.

 

Besides, you can get animation software cheaply/ free on the Internet. You don't need über-expensive software unless you're going in at professional level.

 

I would rather see old vehicles return then new ones appear. The falcon isn't useless if you don't have 2 gunners; you can distract the enemy while your team flanks them. Also, I need to see the source of your statement that the Hornet will be in halo 5.

 

There are no UNSC aircraft in Halo 5. There is the Banshee and Phaeton gunship.

 

Anyway, I prefer seeing new weapons. What would be the point of making a new game if you don't add new things? From a lore perspective, if love to see some existing weapons like the M99 Stanchion Guass rifle, MA2B and MA5K rifles, wieldable Staves (honour guard weapons) and some of the cut concepts like the Gravity Rifle and Bishop Beam.

 

A military that doesn't update it's gear is a military that will fail. And the UNSC is already using worse infantry technology than most NATO armies today (Spartans and spaceships excluded). The one thing Mass Effect has over Halo is it's use of Railgun weapons. Halo needs to get it's priorities set regarding it's tech, bullets just don't work in the 26th century

It is a shame the Halo community lacks the team spirit we see in Battlefield. Being able to hop in a transport chopper and work to be a death machine by gunning or repairing is a mindset of team play we don't really see in most big FPS games.

 

I really hope warzone requires good team play to succeed. A lone wolf shouldn't be able to singlehandedly win a big-team game.

You can get a student license for 3ds Max for free from Autodesk. Sorry, but the $$$ excuse sounds like a copout for the real underlying problem. That problem being you couldn't animate a stick figure walking, let alone a full detailed, complex scene of over 1,000 assets with collision and interactive effect elements.

 

And as Bacon already pointed out, your little "we call ourselves animators" group is in the minority. Give me one good reason why 343 should include or even tweak their engine and tools for you, so people like you and others can profit illegally from their work anyway. And please don't try to say that no one profits from ot...cause that is a bold face and is being naive.

Well, Microsoft is actually quite fair with their terms of use regarding Halo content. But as sucky as it is, it would be well within their right to revoke that and go full Nintendo on everyone.

 

Either way, I've seen the state of the Machinima 'community' and all they do is spend more time spitting at each other and slagging off one another than actually making quality content. 343 -or anyone, for that matter- certainly has no obligation to spend valuable resource implementing features specifically for such a small group.

i loathe the hornets because of their limited maneuverablility. way too easy to shoot them down if you have a laser handy. i know that was improved in the MCC but still. i never did have a problem shooting them down in that game either. i also know that people don't want those things to be over powered. i'd love a pelican to be in the game, as long as it was only used for transport, no weapons. and had extra armor to make it able to withstand a little punishment while it was in the air so enemy teams couldn't get such easy team kills with a single shot with a laser.
