cant load onto Matchmaking online

i have been trying for a few hours today to go on to Halo MCC matchmaking and all i get is a pop up stating "Downloading latest data, downloading the latest matchmaking data, please wait." i have been wait and im getting tired of waiting, i havent played the online in a few months and ive desited to start up again but this is kinda making me not want to play anymore. im really hoping to get some advice from an admin about possible things i can do. i've tried hard offing my xbox one, ive tries closing the game, ive tries closing the game and loging out,ive tries closing the game and loging out and restarting my xbox one. im just at a loss please help.

Strange... Usually hard resetting the Xbox or rebooting the game resolves that issue.

One of the most suggested fixes is reinstalling the game, though that kinda sucks. Still give it a try if everything else fails.
