igottsondabrain
lets be real here.... no one ever likes to start an infection game as a zombie.... so if you guys can put ai bots into a wargames match, why not try to create an infection mode that also starts out with ai bots? that would be pretty awesome.... Wam
No thank you. I prefer players being zombies simply because there's more challenge and people are less predictable than say, a computer program. A match starting with AI zombies would be pretty boring. Oh, and you don't like being a zombie? Tough luck.
rrhuntington
The Big problem I remember in Reach were Bad Zombies or AFK zombies that wouldn't progress the game further. So If AI is any worse than those guys, no plz. However I would want Flood in Warzone... BUT THERE"S NO FLOOD IN HALO 5! SAAAAAALT!
igottsondabrain
hmmm.... i'd think that the programmers could make sure that the ai zombies would give players a run for their money. if they've programmed some randomness into the ai for the warzone mode, i'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to add it for an infection game mode... Twinreaper
the ai dont have seperate command structures based on the gametype or game variant. AI are controlled by a simple process in the similar style tag. It alone dictates ai behavior according to probability, weapon usage and situation. That being said, Warzone is also likely a "single_player" variant that ises multiple teàms to define player sides, unlike actual multiplayer modes. What people still fail to realize is that AI doesnt properly sync or work in multiplayer because the game runs two seperate engines. one for campaign, firefight/Spartan Ops and now Warzone, and one seperately for actual matchmaking multiplayer. Melody
One problem I see with this is whether or not if they would be smart AI/NPCs? Plus it could make the game unbalanced considering a computer knows where everyone is already.
igottsondabrain
good point there about the ai knowing where everyone is....
Melody
good point there about the ai knowing where everyone is.... Not sure if you were making a sarcastic remark or not but... AI are computers, therefore they are programmed to attack/defend the player. AIs typically have an auto aim function that helps them 'act' as if they were a real player. So yes, AIs can seek out the real players faster.
igottsondabrain
yeah... not being sarcastic here. your point was well taken, i hadn't thought of it beforehand. i seem to remember the mario kart game from the n64 where the computer would cheat massively making it harder to beat it at the higher difficulty levels.
