MMMMMK, So anyways.

Heres what an LFF is all about.

It's based on a story.

You know what LFF stands for right?

Live Fan Fiction.

A Fan Fiction is a story based off of a video game, it's made by fans and written by a single person.

The only difference is that these babies are made by everybody in the community posting in a single topic. Now let me know what you guys would like to do. I'll give you all a few options... or feel free to make your own suggestion. I'll add to the list.

Edit: A format and example of this would be the five-word halo story. Except we actually have a plot or go somewhere with it. Everyone can participate... and actually use more than five words. just no godmodding... Or else...

1. Marine Squad

2. ODST Squad

3. Unit commander

4. Halowars style-ish

5. Heres a little something, you play as anything you want in a Halo 3 Epilogue and head over to the Shield world MCs being sucked into. Because we finally pick up their 'beacon'.

I'd enjoy being part of a Marine/ODST unit, writing for/from the perspective of a single character while my other fine fellows here do the same for their own characters in the same unit.

Would also enjoy writing for an entire unit.

Writing for an entire ship seems daunting, but I'm sure I could manage (with a bit of help from resources online). I'd be down for that. Used to do it in an LFF in the WH40K setting. The Russ's Swordarm was the name of my Space Wolves Strike Ship. *sigh* Good times.

So: Individual, Squad, Platoon, Ship, really doesn't matter to me. In ascending order though, each option means more of a workload for everybody involved. My opinion.

 819. Love LFF's/RP's. :yes

As for writing it out: the LFF/RP's I've been involved in were guided by a GM, while participants wrote for their own character(s). Godmoding was handled by the GM, whether by writing something to balance it out, by calling for a re-write by that participant, or even just by calling it out and requesting/ordering the other participants to ignore the offensive bit (if not the entire post).

Same here.

I could be the GM and point the story in a General direction and like 'summon-enemies at will' and control Godmodding and stuff like that.

At any rates... Everyone else... Do you require for me to add a basic character sheet for any of you?

Tends to work out better for everybody. :yes

Just wanted to say that I like the idea of 'character sheets' as a rule of thumb. Allows for quick referencing by other players so they don't, for example, think your black character is a Caucasian man.

just clearing this up: we chose our own characters from the list, right?

Would you like me to add a list of-

Okay you can be anything you want except the flood and forerunner.

I recommend being in a squad. Joint-Race-Squad or etc.

I will think about getting in on this, sounds like it could be fun. You need to edit the OP to include all the ideas, rules, etc. so we don't have to read through the thread.

First, it can be exactly one metric tonne of fun, if everybody playing/participating plays by the rules (written and unwritten). :yes In previous LFF's I've been part of, lolz were had by all, and on numerous occasions.

Second, that there is always a good idea. Helps to jot down ideas both for yourself and for others wanting to contribute. :D

So no Flood or Forerunners… So I can be a Grunt?

COVVIE UNIT! WHO'S WITH ME? No, I'm only partly serious. ^_^ Might be interesting, but we could end up with some PvP situations and in LFF's, PvP can get tricky, especially for the GM. The only way around it is if folks don't get too attached to their characters.

I'll take a shot at getting it started.

The Beginning of the End

There comes a time when a decision has to be made. The decision to to run from certain danger or to face it head on and fight for your life. This was the thought that raced through his mind when he decided to turn and flee for safety behind the nearest door he could find. As he slammed the door hard behind him and ran to hide behind one of the many large crates that filled the room when an explosion tore through the air lifting one of the crates towards the high roof and slowly arcing towards the only door leading from the storage room that he would be trapped in. They must have rolled a grenade into the room before he could shut the door, a room that would become his coffin, unless.........................
