It has recently come to light that several features of Black Ops 3, including the campaign mode are not being included in the last gen version of Black Ops 3.

These features are. The Campaign mode. The Paint Shop, and esports tools.

Activision made an announcement about this, stating that the reason for not including the campaign was so it could. "harness the full potential" of PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC" As such, the game's campaign isn't making the cut on last-gen systems.

They also said. "The ambitious scope of the 1-4 player co-op campaign design of the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions could not be faithfully recreated on old generation hardware,"

Finally, Activision announced today that Black Ops III for PS3/Xbox 360 won't be full-price game, as it will sell for $50 instead of $60. Now to soften the blow the company also said that the last gen versions will come with a free copy of the original Black Ops.

Third article: Phil Spencer elaborates on the reason for not including splitscreen in Halo 5

Halo 5 Guardians has broken away from one of the Halo's series traditions. The tradition being, splitscreen and Halo 5 Guardians is not coming with splitscreen for campaign or multiplayer. So Phil Spencer decided to elaborate more on the extremely controversial decision. He recently told Gamespot in a interview that. " The vast majority" of people, at least those whose consoles are connected to Xbox Live, are playing co-op across Xbox Live, not locally.

"In the end, the teams make decisions based on the bar that they want to hit for complexity of what they're going to run on a single box," he said. "We see the robustness of what Xbox Live is today and where people are playing across Xbox Live--you at your house, me at our house. We know that's the vast majority of the co-op play. With Halo 5, the team really wanted to focus on making that experience great, both visually on the screen that you're looking at, and all the systems in place." Spencer stated.

He later said that he loved splitscreen and it was "it was kind of how multiplayer in Halo was born." But just like war, times have changed. "I think the team made a trade-off based on what they see happening in the market today and what they wanted to do with their game," Spencer explained. "I love the nostalgia of the couch co-op of what Halo did in the past, but I also know in the realities of the day with people's busy lives, it's not as easy to get everybody in the same physical place. It's one of the advantages that Xbox Live obviously offers."

And that concluded the interview and it also concludes this article.

Until next time folks.
