Caboose The Ace
Herro one and all and welcome to the weekly smashup 10!Article one: Big Team Battle is coming to Halo 5 very soonOddly for a Halo game, fan favorite mode, Big Team battle was absent as a matchmaking playlist for the launch of Halo 5. But that is soon to change. In an update on Waypoint, Bravo revealed that the popular game mode is coming in the next update. "In just over a week, the next Halo 5 content drop will be here, and with it comes Big Team Battle in Arena matchmaking, brand-new REQs, and a whole ton of juicy vehicular combat," (More REQ packs too, great)To make the maps for the gamemode 343 enlisted some of Halo communities “top Forgers” to make maps using Halo 5’s Forge. (Really showing off its potential) These new maps take inspiration from previous Halo maps such as Headlong, but have been made just for the purpose of Big team battle. Eventually their work was turned over to 343 to be further developed and iterated to be implemented into Halo 5.Take a look at one of the new maps by clicking the spoiler tag! For Forge they look pretty good. ! Article two: Dying Star Wars fan gets his final wish granted(Like my last article this is not exactly gaming related but its a really nice story to read)Daniel Fleetwood was a Star wars fan, who was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called spindle cell sarcoma in july. He was told he had two months to live. With the Force Awakens release date so far away Fleetwood realized he was possibly not live or be in the condition to see it. In order to grant Fleetwood his dying wish, a Twitter campaign dubbed #ForceforDaniel was created. Thanks to the generous support from actors such as Mark Hamill and John Boyega, the campaign grabbed the attention of director J.J. Abrams, who reached out to Fleetwood and had an unedited version of the film screened for him at this home. Fleetwoods partner later thanked Disney on Twitter for helping Fleetwood fulfil his dying wish.Article three: A new teaser for Mass Effect Andromeda has been releasedIn celebration of Mass Effect's N7 Day (November 7th) BioWare has released a new teaser for Mass Effect Andromeda, the upcoming game in the series that is set long after the events of the first triolgy. While the trailer doesn't offer much by way of gameplay, it does feature the voice of Jennifer Hale's Commander Shepard, in which the original trilogy's hero bids a slightly nostalgic farewell to the franchise. So go watch latest trailer for the game! https://youtu.be/Rn98FdSg-Fo Thanks for reading everyone, until next time! Caboose The Ace
That is not a new map, that is Headlong. Well 343 have said that the new maps are inspired by older maps. That map does look a lot like Headlong and is to me from all the maps I've seen looks the most like a classic Halo map, though I bet something is different about it though. Take a look at this map for example, its inspired by Valhalla but isn't an exact copy. !
