stoneyhrm
Curious if anyone has experienced some delay/input-lag on certain maps? Regret gets nearly unplayable because after a few seconds at the start it starts acting clunky and slow, feels like I'm dragging my cursor around. I use a wireless controller, I'd user wireless but they only make 3rd party ones and I doubt that's the reason. Watching the H5 pros at the championship, they all looked smooth on every map, but for me certain maps give me this input lag. I'm using a viewsonic monitor I got that was recommended by the MLG forums. It's pretty old, probably around 7 or 8 years or so, but I was wondering if anyone knows the cause? I had this same thing on H3 on foundry and heavy forge maps. Thanks for any help.
Twinreaper
3rd party wireless is god awful, and using a 7-8 year old bargain now lcd monitor is not helping. Wireless gamepads always inherintly have a slight bit of lag. The lag is likely an issue between using an old monitor with bad vsync capability and scaling, along with the wireless controller. MLG is hardly an expert in hardware and setup. If you want to know how best to setup a solid hardocre game station...ask a pc nerd or expert. Asking anyone MLG for advice is like asking a CNA to perform heart surgery. Sure they have seen it, been there and assisted....but that dont amount to jack. stoneyhrm
I meant to say I wanted to get a wired but they're all 3rd party. I'm using the standard wireless one that came with the xbox. Sorry I don't know how to edit, but I was saying with the MLG reference that they need the best monitors because they play at such a high level so they would generally know which ones are good because they would use them. Also if it was the wireless controller, then why would it only be happening on certain maps? I'm thinking its something to do with the fact that the monitor might just be too old for this new technology on the xbox one, after all I got it back around the time the 360 had come out, so maybe it's having a hard time on certain maps that have alot of heavy graphics.
