GNN.jpg Vol.5

What's up my peeps, Vitamin PWN back again with another installment of GNN. in this GNN I'm gonna talk about The Darkness 2, which is a sequel to one of my personal favorite games the Darkness. I'm also gonna talk about Need for Speed: the Run, which adds a Story mode to the Need For Speed franchise. So without further adieu, here you go.

2 years after He used the powers of the Darkness, (an ancient and ruthless force of chaos and destruction) to kill the men responsible for his girlfriends murder, Jackie Estacado is now the head of the Francetti Crime family. Since those events he has since bottled up the Darkness so it can do no more harm. But now the Darkness wants out, and when a rival mob attacks Jackie, the Darkness has its opportunity it needs to reemerge .

In the Darkness 2 you will be able to quad wield, which will allow players to slash, grab, and throw objects and enemies with their two Demon Arms while simultaneously firing two weapons. so 2 demon arm and 2 human arms equal to 4 arm that can be used for attacking. hence the name quad wielding.

In the Darkness 2 there are Four power trees that you can invest points in to make Jackie a more efficient killer. The upgrade trees are the demon arm upgrades, Darkness powers, Hitman upgrades and executions.

Demon arm upgrade gives Jackie to demonic limb to toss people in the air or slam them into the ground. The Darkness powers upgrades use the darkness to give you additional ammo for guns or forming a swarm of insect to mangle your foes. Hitman upgrades give Jackie increased ammo capacity and faster reload times. executions give Jackie benefits for killing enemies in point blank range, such as health regeneration. you wont be able to max out all trees so you will have to choose your points wisely.

i have to warn everyone that The Darkness 2 is going to be extremely gory and full of cussing so don't say you haven't been warned. It comes out Feb. 7th 2012

Powered by DICE's Frostbite 2 engine, NFS:the Run isn't your normal racing game because this comes with a story. NFS:The Run takes players on a heart-pounding cross-country race from San Francisco to New York. Players are lured into an underground world of illicit, high-stakes racing. But the race is just the beginning as you blow across borders, weave through dense urban traffic, rocket down icy mountain passes and navigate narrow canyons at breakneck speeds.

The entire single-player game, know as "The Run", you play as Jack who is in a race for his life, for if he loses he will be killed. The race is one cross-country, coast-to-coast race across North America against 200 others. While most of the time your driving in your car, there are times where you'll be on foot running away from cops, leaping from roof to roof or switching cars.

The cross-country concept also allows for a variety of gameplay, whether it's racing technically around winding mountain tracks, hurtling into oncoming traffic on an interstate or evading cops in a city. There are one-on-one rival battles against arch-enemies, sprint races, elimination sections and cop pursuits, all of which feed into the overarching narrative.

Great article as always Vitamin!! Very informative and entertaining!!

Both titles seem to have added new elements that are very appealing. I like this idea of "quad wielding" in D2, it just sounds awesome. D2 has peaked my interest enough to consider purchasing (as long as i can keep the kiddos away, lol)

Two cars stand out to me in NFS. The Ford Shelby GT and BMW M3. Two very sought after cars that fit the NFS series very well. Release date is not ideal for me though, so i may just have to rent.

Thanks for the article Vitamin and as always, Keep the Info Rollin'!!!!

Maybe you could find some info on Fallout 4? All I know is that Bethesda made an agreement for 3 games, they made Fallout 3, let another company do #2 and they said that the Skyrim engine will "Be used on other Bethesda projects." The only project they are making outside of the Elder Scrolls is Fallout (Which they bought the rights to, but there has been some legal issues.) And the contract said 3 games!
