CandiBunni
Lulwut? It kind of sucks? Would you care to explain WHY it kind of sucks? The campaign is a remastered version of the original Halo: Combat Evolved campaign, so I don't know how it feels like Reach. You should have done your research. They've been saying that it will just include seven new maps for Reach, so it's your own fault if you are disappointed by this. No, it is NOT Reach. It is the original Halo: Combat Evolved, but remastered with better visuals, sound effects, music, etc. The only thing that is Reach are the maps that come with it, which you don't even have to touch if you don't wish to. CandiBunni
Original Halo with bloom? Dude, get out of here....its reach. What you call Bloom, (which is actually spread), has always been in Halo. You must be silly if you think they've added Reach gameplay elements into the campaign. They have not. The multiplayer is Reach, and they have stated why they did this. You don't have to touch the multiplayer, because the campaign is where most of the work and excitement for this game is placed. The campaign plays EXACTLY how it did 10 years ago, and there are plenty of people that can tell you this. iTz Termineted
its not at all like halo reach
Fire
*sigh* Bloom has always been in halo but it is many times more prominent in Reach, also the game uses the same engine as reach, even for the campaign, so many of it's traits are passed on. If bungie still owned halo, they would have a new engine, BUT that would take time and Microsoft MUST make more money as soon as possible
Kurt S-501
Original Halo with bloom? Dude, get out of here....its reach. Think of it this way: You pay $40 for a campaign and a DLC for Reach. The campaign plays EXACTLY like it did 10 years ago. They have the SAME EXACT ENGINE they had 10 years ago. The only difference is, they added a graphics layer on top of the old engine. The only differences besides graphics are the addition of terminals, skulls, and a remastered soundtrack. Now the multiplayer. The new multiplayer is NOT I repeat, NOT a new multiplayer. All it is are new maps for Reach. They run on the Reach engine, not a new one. There are new gametypes and playlists for these maps, but the multiplayer engine is THE SAME. Maybe that's why you say it's the same as Reach??? So if you wanted a new game with all new campaign and multiplayer, sorry to disappoint. You probaly should've double checked before you bought it or played it.
Twinreaper
The Reach engine passes no child, inhereted, or otherwise any engine code into the campaign for CEA. CEA and the Reach engine are running simutaniously side by side. The Reach portion of the engine yes, is the dominant engine, but every bit of code executed on the CEA campaign side of the egnine instances is from the original CE engine. At no point anywhere is Reach's Blam! version of the engine manipulating, controlling or dictating collisions, physics responses or in-game handling of any kind. When we switch modes, the only thing happening, is the engine of Reach, switchs over the updated bsp and shaders that are present in it. Think of switching game modes, actually switching over to a whole new instance of the game. Yes, the CEA remastered version has new graphic layers, but the code controlling the experience we felt in halo 1 is still in control in the remastered campaign.
SilentCO1
Campaign is completely different other than music (Which you can change), graphics (which you can also change), and Terminals (Which you can ignore). Campaign is exactly the same. It's obviously made for Reach multiplayer, because they said it was. If you don't like bloom, then go onto Anniversary Classic, no bloom will be in that playlist, or go play in the TU Beta playlist if it's still up. I'm guessing everyone that's saying it sucks have never played it, and have different expectations, even though the majority of people either think this or Halo 2 are the best Halo games yet.
