Jump Height

Hey guys, I really appreciate your attention and determination to the game. Can you guys revert back to the type of floating jump that existed in Halo 2 and 3. In reach the jump height was really small and seemed un-haloish, and instead more like the style of a Call of Duty. Lastly, could we work on developing the strafe more like it was in halo 2. In Reach the strafing feels less sensitive to my analog sticks, it sorda feels like im floating side to side in a swing. Please no bloom. Thanks so much guys.

Hey flyingson even though we are not 343ind, we are a fan forum, I do agree and would expect that there would be a return to the physics the Master Chief had in Halo 2 and Halo 3. There will be, if 343ind. stays true to their word, a return to what made Halo, to the core of the game. Frank O'Conner himself has said on numerous occasions that Halo 4 will feel like the Halos that preceded it. Bloom has been part of the games in varying degrees since the beginning, so I don't see that it would be completely removed.

No, the jump isn't like that in CoD. In CoD, the jump is so small and quick, due to soldiers carrying equipment and the fact that they're on Earth. You can't jump on top of anything.

 

In Reach, gravity is a bit lower, but still able to jump onto stuff with a crouch jump.
