VixyChic Posted December 24, 2011 Report Share Posted December 24, 2011 I need help..... I have been trying to find a way to contact 343 and no one seems to know how. I am a huge halo fan but for the past month I have not been able to speak to any of my friends or speak to anyone for that matter. I called xbox and they have went step by step on how to fix this if it was a live problem. Its not and they said that they dont have me banned. They stated that 343 could have me banned. They werent sure why because I have never been repoted and do not have a bad rep. Why is this happening to me and what can I do to fix it. If I cant fix it how much longer will it last. They can tell you why you are banned, but I don't know about how long. Keep in mind we are not actually 343i so if that thread doesn't help you go to Halo Waypoint which is 343i's website. Absolute Dog Posted December 24, 2011 Report Share Posted December 24, 2011 VixyChic, being unable to talk to your friends would have nothing to do with any kind of a ban that I am aware of. Bans are, in most cases, applied to accounts or consoles and block either earning credits or entering match making in a particular game. XBOX Live, or XBL, is a service of Microsoft, MS, and that service is what allows you to communicate with others via your friends list with party chat, private chat or text messaging. If you are unable to communicate using those features that would be an issue with XBL. If you can not commuicate in game, please check with your friends to see if you are muted or possibly mute banned. The mute ban would be indicated by a red circle with a diagonal line through it and it would be located over your microphone emblem in game and be seen by all players in match making. They will simply have to "unmute" you to talk with you. There is also the possibility that your mic is malfunctioning. It may be they can not hear you and you can hear them, or visa versa. They wires leading to the port where you plug in are frail and do break or pull loose over time. Wireless mics also have issues with receiving and transmitting signals. Try using a mic that you know for a fact works. You can PM, private message me here in the forums and I will attempt to talk with you via XBL. I do hope you can resolve this, I know how important it is to talk to friends on Live! P.S.My friends and I are known for pulling jokes on each other and saying we can not hear someone talking for an entire game or night and has proven to be funny at times.
