If you have a Northern Hemisphere island, you'll notice that the arrival of new May fish and bugs also marks the departure of tarantulas, which have been replaced with scorpions until October. How you catch scorpions is pretty similar to its eight-legged counterpart. We'll break it down below. When Do Scorpions Spawn? Scorpions spawn on the ground between 7 PM and 4 AM. They will not spawn if you have guests on your island. They can appear on your own island or a deserted island. Like most creatures in New Horizons, scorpions are seasonal, so they will only appear a few months out of the year.
