But the series has always paid homage to famous myths and legends as well, and there's reason to suspect that a piece of Valhalla DLC will explore the epic poem Beowulf. A description on the German Ubisoft Store mentions the Beowulf DLC. A translated version of text promoting the season pass reads, "Includes the story mission: The Legend of Beowulf. Discover the cruel truth behind the legend." GameSpot has contacted Ubisoft. Beowulf is an epic poem composed around 1,000 ACE, in the midst of the dark ages that serve as the setting for Valhalla. In the story, the war hero Beowulf becomes a king and defeats a dragon at the cost of his own life.
