343iBot Posted July 6, 2020 Report Share Posted July 6, 2020 Animal Crossing: New Horizons' first summer content update is now live, and it's added swimming, mermaid furniture, and sea creatures to the game. That's not all that's new right now, however; Nintendo has also added another limited-time seasonal item, Bamboo grass. The item is listed in the Seasonal tab of the Nook Shopping catalog and ties into the Japanese festival of Tanabata, which takes place on July 7. Like previous seasonal items, the Bamboo grass will only be available for a limited time--until July 31--and costs 3,080 Bells to order. Beyond the new seasonal item, another event is happening in Animal Crossing: New Horizons this week--the Fishing Tourney. The event takes place this Saturday, July 11 and will give you another chance to earn fish-themed furniture and other items. Because the Fishing Tourney will be happening Saturday, K.K. Slider will show up for his weekly concert on Friday this week, so make sure you don't miss him.
