343iBot Posted August 26, 2020 Report Share Posted August 26, 2020 Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War was finally formally revealed with a new trailer today, and a tag at the end notes that it will continue Activision's exclusivity arrangement with Sony. The end of the trailer promises open beta access to those who pre-order, but notes it will be "first on PS4." The official PlayStation version of the trailer gives a little more information. It promises that the PlayStation beta will be available "at least 5 days earlier than any other format." That doesn't give an exact date, nor does it even necessarily suggest that the beta will only be on PS4. If the PlayStation 5 launches in time for the beta, we could see it on both platforms. Another caveat is that the open beta access only applies to digital pre-orders, reports Charlie Intel. Physical pre-orders will not get open beta access.
