343iBot Posted November 2, 2020 Report Share Posted November 2, 2020 Apple has confirmed that it will hold another online-only event on November 10 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. This comes not long after the company unveiled the iPhone 12 lineup in September. According to GameSpot sister site CNET, Apple is reportedly expected to reveal its new set of Mac computers. These devices will be powered by the company's Apple Silicon chips, a series of processors manufactured by Apple itself. This marks a break away from the company's longtime partner Intel, which has been supplying chips for all of Apple's computers for years. Apple first made the announcement that it was switching from Intel processors to its own chips during the Worldwide Developers Conference in June. The Apple Silicon processors, also known as Arm, are close cousins to the chips found in iPads and iPhones. Apple using its own chips should yield significant advantages to Mac users, including lower power consumption.
