This team comes not long after Larian established its Malaysia-based studio last year, a team that helped Larian become a 24/7 developer working on Baldur's Gate 3. Director Swen Vincke revealed the news during the second Panel from Hell livestream, in which Larian Studios went in-depth on Badlur's Gate 3's upcoming Patch 4. The team is "incredibly experienced" and filled with "the next-generation of developers." Guildford originally started with 10 people, but has since doubled and includes talented people that have worked on projects like Avengers, Lord of the Rings, Ready Player One, and Star Wars. Guildford, though only recently connected to Larian as an official studio, has been working with the developer since 2019. The team has worked on various Baldur's Gate 3's elements, such as the graphical user interface (GUI), rendering engine, online services, and animations.
