Spectral Jester
The latest Xbox 360 update "increases performance" and provides "a fix to a color issue" that some users have been experiencing on video playback since November's switch to the Metro dashboard. "Starting today when you sign in to Xbox LIVE you'll receive a prompt to accept this mandatory update," wrote Xbox Live's Major Nelson on his blog. "This update will increase performance and is part of our continued effort to provide the best possible Xbox LIVE experience. In this update, we are providing a fix to a color issue that some were experiencing, and it will be immediately notable in the dashboard." "The fix is also being applied by partners to their apps on Xbox LIVE, which we expect to roll out over the coming months." Some users had reported that third-party video apps had been restricted to 720p and that playback suffered from washed out colours. Hopefully, this will be the end of the problem. Lᴜᴋᴇ
I didn't see the effects, it wasn't an issue for me in the first place. I've heard quite a few people had problems though.

MCPO Mayh3m
I've not had an issue at all. Just a little slow loading that is all. I will most likely get the update whenever I sign back on.
