Halo 4 for XBox 720???

Since it's E3 unveiling Halo 4 has had quite a torrid time of it, with its creative director

quitting the project because of a 'lack of excitement'. Microsoft was then forced to deny rumours that Halo 4 was secretly an Xbox 720 launch title (a denial which most observers now agree is probably accurate).

 

Despite its name, Halo 4 will be the eighth title in the Halo franchise, but it will pick up with the legacy that Halo 3 left. There had been speculation before E3 that Halo 4 would be developed for the Xbox 720 (or whatever the next Xbox happens to be called), but those rumors were quickly quashed.

The next Xbox is still another 1 or 2 years out from being released. Halo 4 comes out this year... you do the math.

Halo 4 has already confirmed xbox 360, being delayed for the 720 would lose microsoft their "Christmas Market." However, the next two in the trilogy will be for the 720. Its on IGN somewhere.

I hope its for both. But it will definitely be for Xbox 360. Maybe after a while they might put it on Xbox 720

it would of been a nice idea to release the 720 and halo 4 as a bundle pack, sales would of gone through the roof.

I really hope Halo 4 is on Xbox 720. If it is for the Xbox 360 you wont be able to keep your score/rank when Xbox 720 comes out. Well Microsoft maybe suprises us and show us Xbox 720 on E3 later this year.

When was this announced? I think halo 4 on Xbox 720 is a good marketing move.

The new X-Box is still a few years out, and they are trying to get Halo 4 on the shelves this November/December. And while it would be a good marketing ploy to sell bundles, it wouldn't be wise in the current economy (in the US at least) to add the cost of a new game to a new console. Hell, most of my friends are going to have trouble even affording Halo 4, let alone a brand new gaming console. However, you should expect Halo 5 or 6 to be released with the new console, in or out of a bundle. They may even release a few consoles that have Halo skins, like they did with Halo 3. Also, they haven't officially announced a release date for the new X-Box, but people are thinking it's going to come out in Summer 2013 or Holiday 2014. Here's a page with rumors for you, but remember, they are only rumors and nothing official has been announced yet.
