For instance, before Thel'Vadamee (the Arbiter) joined the covenant military he was known as Thel'Vadam. Using the "-ee" in one's name is a choice (in other words you do not have to if you do not want to) given to a Sangheili when they join the military. When the colony gets too big, it splits into two. That is why Hunters travel in pairs. The spikes on it's back may be antenna to communicate between the bonded pairs. These spikes develop when the colony splits into two. Bonded pairs are usually used in the battlefield, whereas non-paired Hunters are used for interior guard until they become a bonded pair. Hunters have a relatively high rank in the covenant because of how valuable they are as guards and mobile weapons platforms. And thus began the Human-Covenant War Actually, the brutes were pretending to make friends while they were actually secretly trying to find forerunner relics, which their computer had said Harvest was full of. It was later discovered that the relics their computers were identifying were actually "Reclaimers", human beings. The hierarchs (who at the time were actually the equivalent of a regional manager in a company like Wal-Mart) mistook this as them being forerunners that were "left behind", and weren't able to take the Great Journey. The Covenant was founded on the belief that EVERYONE could take the Great Journey, so if news of this spread the very foundation of the covenant would be destroyed. So Truth schemed his way into the position of Hierarch (taking the only other two who knew this secret with him to the top) and declared that the humans were heretics who destroy forerunner relics, thus starting the "cleansing" of humanity (also known as the Human-Covenant war). 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Upon discovery of the truth of humans (and the Halo arrays from the monitor inside the Dreadnaught) and that their religion would bring them to their doom, Truth ordered holy war on humans, saying it was the will of the Gods, although it was purely the opposite. That was because the augmentations they used on the S-II's have been more perfected when creating the S-III's to lessen the failures and fatalies, but they also made them more cheaper and expandable. Nearly all S-III were given SPI instead of MJOLNIR (The SPI was cheaper, and it was the inbetween of being better than the ODST BDU but not as good as the MJOLNIR) and they were sent on dangerous missions that even the best ODST couldn't knock over, and they were most likely to be killed (marked MIA by ONI Directive 930). In the book Ghost of Onyx you get very detailed information about Spartan III training, equipment, and medical changes. Since their program came after Halsey's S-II and they were trained by a spartan II (Kurt), they became better base soldiers than the previous generation. Unfortunately they got rather crappy armor and were sent on suicide missions. Thats kinda why the cannon of Reach makes no sense whatsoever. S-IIIs should be faster, stronger, and have a better tactical understanding than non-veteran S-IIs and also have SPI or "camo" armor. Another random fact! The MJOLNIR armor shields are actually stronger and recharge faster than the standard elites. Actually, this one isn't fanmade lol This was uploaded to Machinima in 2009. My post said that there was SUPPOSED to be a Halo movie coming out this year. It's supposedly cancelled though. Also, this movie was going to be about the ODSTs who were affected by Master Chief, and who supported Master Chief. The only actual full scene that they shot was of Marine's locating Master Chief's re-entry location so that a search and rescue team could pick him up later. There were many hurdles that they had to go through with this movie (which is why it was cancelled). One of which was the script. They were having difficulties financially because Microsoft is greedy. However, Frankie said that if they will make a movie when the time is right to make a movie. There has been speculation that the fate of the Halo movie is directly based off of Halo 4's success.
