Snipers and SWAT Updates Please 343

Hey guys, you know I have been talking to lots of people when I play Snipes and SWAT and we have all came to a agreement we need more maps or game types in Snipers and SWAT. I mean honastly half the time I play Snipers I get like two map that are the same just different game types or like SWAT I'll get three maps the same just different game types. So I would really apprishiate if we can all get together and see if 343 will throw is some maps for us in these play lists so we have a bigger variety to play on or at least add some new game types and spice it up a bit and give us players something crazy and amazing to do. For example Head Hunter with All Snipers or DMR for SWAT, HELLZ YEAH, or like HEAD SEEKER were it's like Head Hunter but only head shots count. Or DOMINATION were its like survival, just 4-8 rounds depends how they wanna set it up, you get one life and its just like elimination tell the team with the most rounds win. Stuff like that we could have added would give us some fun stuff to do in Snipers and SWAT.

 

Also I just wanna post letting you guys know of my ideas I stated in the beggining of this forum, I have pretty much layed them out in paper as blue prints and I will give you guys the first peak of my ideas I have brained stormed up. First Just normal Head Hunter added to SWAT and Snipers you know same old good fun Head Hunter. Then I had a idea called Head Seeker, That is very similar to Head Hunter but there is a "Difference" then normal Head Hunter. Head Seeker is only head shots count as damage so there for its all about accuracy and head shot ratio chance, but same head hunter rules apply like 10 skullz = a Skullamanjaro, so on and so on with like each skull is a point just only Head Shots count. Then there is DOMINATION, this is similar to like Search and Destroy but better personaly to me I think so. Its a survival based game type. 4-8 rounds depends how they wanna set it up, you get one life each round and you just eliminate each member on each team, What ever team wins gets 1 point for the round, When there is a tie its 0 and it just starts a new round so on and so on tell game over. This giving the play lists more spark so we all have something to do, and Like I said above in a post I don't really care if they wanna throw all of these is every play list I don't mind just get them in Snipers and SWAT please. So there you guys go I just wanted to let you all know what I have so far and I'm still working on more ideas but if you guy's wanna throw in some ideas I'll fix and patch up some idea and make it work. Just let me know on here or even PM me what ever the case may be just let me know and I'll fix something up and get it workin. It would be beast and pretty nice to see if they would be kind and willing to do these things for us players as the community for us supporting them. Let's all make 343 realize that Halo Tracker is important and we would like to keep it around and that its just more then a website to us all, lets show them thats is a community and its almost like one big whopping family and we can't be separated we all have to stay together.

I disagree with almost all of this. Generally, the people who are decent at Halo tend to play headhunter only for the kills. Whenever I play it in Rumble Pit, I go like +50 because I just kill all of the people mindlessly rushing for the hills. This would be even worse in SWAT, because it is a one shot kill. Search and Destroy would suck, period. It would promote more camping than just normal SWAT.

 

Personally, I think that Snipers and SWAT need more symmetrical gametypes such as CTF and Assault. Take out the stupid gametype of SWAT Potato.

They should definitely add more maps though. Im tired of playing uncaged and boardwalk for snipers. It gets really old when theres only 5 maps to play on snipers. Same with swat

Well I see what you mean Wumpa Warrior by Head Hunter and Search would be dumb but also look at how that will make it a little more fun cause theres something new we have never had and also like Ur mamma00's point about the whole maps being added it is kind of a bummer when you keep gettnig the same maps and you want to play somthing new, I have some maps I thought of through out the Halo series that all would be good for both Snipers and SWAT and some for just each play list here they are - The Pit, Guardian, Lockout/Blackout, Valhalla, Avalanche, Construct, High Ground, Narrows, Last Resort, Midship, Gemini, Foundation, Backwash, Burial Mounds, Colossus, Containment, Sanctuary, Terminal, Waterworks. All of these are some of the best maps in the halo series and they are all good for both SWAT and Snipers. Let me know what you guys think.

I truly enjoy playing snipers myself, but have to take breaks from the game type because of the complete lack of maps. Speaking to that first, the "traditional" maps list should include a notable variety of the community forged maps that would support snipers. The maps given for each vote need to grouped so that the existing list always is grouped together, then forge maps grouped together offering none of the existing maps if "none of the above" is selected. ( I will give an example below ) I would also like to see maps like Highlands, Tempest, Condemned, Unearthed and Anchor 9 placed together as a map selection with no "none of the above option" for a DLC playlist that still includes the "traditional" sniper selection. A "Premium" DLC Snipers would include all before mentioned maps plus the new maps of Halo CEA.

 

In regards to sniper game variants, the OP's thoughts on "Head Seeker" should become, or be considered for, Sniper Pro. No radar, vehicles and only head shots get the kill. For me snipers is snipers, I don't care to have any objective type of game play there. There are more than enough original community forge maps and I would not want to play on remakes of previous games maps myself.

Includes the above maps and selections plus a rotation of the following maps:

 

Highlands

Anchor 9

Tempest

Condemned

Unearthed

No "none of the above" selection unless for another round of DLC maps.

 

Premium DLC Snipers

 

Includes all of the above plus the maps of Halo CEA in a similar voting process to the DLC Snipers.

 

There has to be more variety in snipers and a set block of rotation for map selections that would balance in the forge choices as well as DLC choices. Snipers numbers have dropped to apathy of players who have tired of the same old thing time and again and no serious interest for the playlist map selection from Bungie in the past and 343i as of yet.

 

I personally do not play enough Swat to speak in depth on the game type, other than to say I have seen enough swat players voice the need for more maps in the voting process.

There is definitely a lack of map selection in Team Snipers. That said, SWAT could also use a couple community made maps as well. With SWAT though, they also need to drop a map or two (powerhouse, for example) because no one votes for it and it just takes up room on the voting page. What I think they should do is take the maps that are voted for less than a certain amount of times in a certain amount of time and add maps in their places.

Headhunter in SWAT would be bad, I think the playlist already has its fair amount of Objective gametypes in. As for community created maps, some MLG maps like The Pit, Oasis, etc, play real good with SWAT and should be added in the playlist. But not new maps created by randoms.
