Horizon Zero Dawn protagonist Aloy is set to be the next gaming star crossing over to Fortnite soon, as confirmed in a new PlayStation blog post, Aloy will join Fortnite's Primal Season as a new outfit for players to equip, and the occasion will be marked by a new tournament and limited time mode.

New Aloy-themed items entering the Fortnite Item Shop include the Glinthawk glider, Aloy's Spear pickaxe, Heart-rizon emote, the Shield-Weaver wrap, and the Blaze Canister back bling. If you'd prefer to grab them all at once, the Horizon Zero Dawn Bundle can be purchased and will include a bonus Aloy the Skywatcher loading screen.

Anyone who owns the Aloy Outfit and plays Fortnite on their PlayStation 5 will unlock the Ice Hunter Aloy Style, based on the Banuk Ice Hunter outfit from Horizon Zero Dawn.

To tie in with the crossover, a special Duos tournament will be held on April 14. The Aloy Cup will be available exclusively on PS4 and PS5, and the top-performing teams in each region will unlock the Horizon Zero Dawn Bundle before it enters the Item Shop. A last-team-standing event, players can earn bonus points for eliminations with a bow and can compete in 10 matches in their region's three-hour time window.

The main attraction of Aloy's arrival in Fortnite will be a new limited-time mode called Team Up! Aloy & Lara. Players will automatically be outfitted as either Aloy or as Tomb Raider's Lara Croft in this Duos mode while their teammate is outfitted as the other gaming icon. Both players will be restricted to their signature weaponry, which means that Aloy can only wield her bow while Lara is equipped with her dual pistols. Wildlife will also be roaming the map and can be defeated to gather materials with which to upgrade your weapons.

Team Up! Aloy & Lara will run from 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET on April 16 to 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET on April 18.
