ESF Blitz
Lets be honest about the time period and lore. The covenant have weapons that can burn craters through Titanium battleship hull in a single shot (cruisers) how does a concentrated plasma burst do nothing more than leave a tiny scorchmark on a surface after 10 or 15 rounds in the same hit. Mr Biggles
because that's how the game was designed, stuff like that isn't meant to make sense because you aren't meant to really shoot at the floor for ages like that. as such, they don't really concentrate on it, but, yeah ,i don't get it either. TerribleTimbo
Though I do like being able to damage buildings/terrian (I think you can damage terrain anyway...) I don't like the idea of it being in multiplayer for halo. A few examples of why I would not like it: Someone blasts a trench through the middle of the map that vehicles can't cross (even though I'm hardly ever in them, this would be annoying) Collapsing the ceiling of a base onto the flag/objective to make it ungrabbable/unscorable Destroying the terrain in such a way that a weapon/vehicle can't be accessed Creating random holes everywhere for people to hide in There is probably other ways I'd dislike it but I'm too braindead right now to think of them. TheL337destroyer
Maybe its specifically meant for combat, and a weapon meant for combat needs to be handable. So in saying that, theres probably only a small amount of power/ammo in the plasma gun. As compared to a cruiser, where you have a secured canon. Theres alot more of power/ammo supply for it.
