Today at Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest Kick Off Live event, Gearbox and 2K Games have announced Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, a Borderlands spin-off coming in early 2022. It features the voices of Andy Samberg, Wanda Sykes, Will Arnett, and Ashley Burch who returns to voice Tiny Tina once again. Wonderlands is not a total surprise, as its existence leaked weeks ago, but this is the first time we're hearing about all the specifics, including the celebrity voice talent.

The new "fantasy-fueled adventure" is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store.

A new Borderlands game is coming next year

"In this epic high fantasy take on the looter shooter genre, players can create and customize their own multiclass heroes as they loot, shoot, slash, and cast their way through outlandish monsters and treasure-filled dungeons on a quest to stop the tyrannical Dragon Lord," reads a line from the game's description. "Bullets, magic, and broadswords collide across a chaotic fantasy world brought to life by the utterly unpredictable Tiny Tina, who makes the rules, changes the world on the fly, and guides players on their journey."

Described as a "fully standalone" game, Wonderlands features co-op for up to four players and "repeatable end-game content." A trailer for the game shows off its wild setting and focuses on the celebrity cast.

Andy Samberg voices the captain character Valentine, while Wanda Sykes plays the robot Frette. Ashly Burch, who voiced Tiny Tina in the original games, is returning for Wonderlands. Will Arnett, meanwhile, plays the bad guy--Dragon Lord. Other characters featured in the game include the lute-playing Bardbarian and the Fairy Punchfather, though Gearbox did not say who will voice them.

“Between the development talent at Gearbox and the undeniable star power of the cast, we couldn’t be more excited about this game," 2K president David Ismailer said. "We're always searching for compelling ideas and ways to build upon the strength of our existing IP, so we’re thrilled to help bring a passionate team of creatives together with a world and character that will surely resonate not only with our longtime fans but with new audiences as well."
