343iBot
Janina Gavankar, who played Iden Versio in Star Wars: Battlefront II, has announced that she is involved in some capacity with the new Marvel game coming from Uncharted director Amy Hennig. Posting on Twitter, Gavankar said she is excited to finally be able to talk about the project. "THIS is what I've been lucky to be a part of," Gavankar said (via GamesRadar), sharing the blog post announcing the new game from Skydance, Hennig, and Marvel. I can FINALLY TELL YOU THIS! THIS is what I’ve been so lucky to be a part of. @Skydance + @amy_hennig x @Marvel = #SkydanceNewMediahttps://t.co/XTthJGzcRY — janina gavankar (@Janina) October 30, 2021 There is no word on the nature of Gavanakar's involvement in the Marvel game, but presumably she is playing a character in the game. It's still early days for Skydance's new game, and there is no word yet on what Marvel property it may be based on. It's not Gavanakar's only upcoming video game project, however, as she plays Tanta is the game Forspoken from Square Enix. Additionally, Gavankar will play Knoxx in the Borderlands movie. Skydance's new Marvel game is described as a "narrative-driven, blockbuster action-adventure" title featuring an original story set in the Marvel universe. Skydance's new Marvel game is not the only new Marvel game project in the works now, as Spider-Man developer Insomniac is making a new Wolverine game alongside Spider-Man 2. This is not the first time that Hennig has worked on a gigantic media franchise, as she was working on an unannounced Star Wars game at EA before it all fell apart. Hennig was the creative director and writer on Uncharted 1-3 at Naughty Dog. In 2014, it was reported that she was "forced out" of Naughty Dog before Uncharted 4, but Naughty Dog said that was not true.
