343iBot Posted November 4, 2021 Report Share Posted November 4, 2021 Call of Duty: Vanguard launches on November 5 with a campaign, multiplayer, and Zombies mode, and Treyarch has already confirmed a few details about the servers and pause feature for Vanguard Zombies. In a November 4 tweet, Treyarch announced that all Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies lobbies will run on dedicated servers starting at launch. This should give a smooth gameplay experience to those looking to play public, private, and solo matches. Update: All #Vanguard Zombies lobbies (Public, Private, and Solo) will run on dedicated servers starting at launch for the smoothest experience possible! — Treyarch Studios (@Treyarch) November 4, 2021 Treyarch says this will also result in shorter kick times for inactive players, as the developers are working on adding Server Pause as a post-launch feature. This means Vanguard's Zombies mode does not currently have a pause option, which is a very useful feature currently in Black Ops Cold War's Zombies mode. Treyarch says players will need to pull up the options menu to extend the inactivity timer if they need a quick break. Additionally, the Zombies mode received a new cinematic story trailer during the Call of Duty: Vanguard launch event. The new map Der Anfang is set to bring a new style of objective-based play described as a hybrid between standard round-based maps and Cold War's Outbreak mode. Unfortunately, the map also won't have a main story quest at launch, but the developers explained why in a recent interview. Call of Duty: Vanguard launches on November 5 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC.
