Call of Duty: Vanguard launches on November 5 with a campaign, multiplayer, and Zombies mode, and Treyarch has already confirmed a few details about the servers and pause feature for Vanguard Zombies.

In a November 4 tweet, Treyarch announced that all Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies lobbies will run on dedicated servers starting at launch. This should give a smooth gameplay experience to those looking to play public, private, and solo matches.

Treyarch says this will also result in shorter kick times for inactive players, as the developers are working on adding Server Pause as a post-launch feature. This means Vanguard's Zombies mode does not currently have a pause option, which is a very useful feature currently in Black Ops Cold War's Zombies mode. Treyarch says players will need to pull up the options menu to extend the inactivity timer if they need a quick break.

Additionally, the Zombies mode received a new cinematic story trailer during the Call of Duty: Vanguard launch event. The new map Der Anfang is set to bring a new style of objective-based play described as a hybrid between standard round-based maps and Cold War's Outbreak mode. Unfortunately, the map also won't have a main story quest at launch, but the developers explained why in a recent interview.

Call of Duty: Vanguard launches on November 5 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC. The new game will launch as Activision Blizzard faces a lawsuit from the state of California over alleged harassment and discrimination against women.
