[GameSpot] - Nintendo Switch Online Hits 32 Million Members, Nintendo Accounts Hit 250 Million

As part of Nintendo's latest earnings briefing, the company announced new milestones for Nintendo Switch Online and Nintendo Accounts.

As of September 30, Nintendo Switch Online had more than 32 million paying subscribers, while Nintendo Account registrations have reached 250 million. In another slide, Nintendo mentioned that it just recently launched the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, which adds additional services like N64 and Genesis games to the membership benefits. Looking ahead, Nintendo said it will continue to strive to find more ways to enhance the value of Nintendo Switch Online.

As for Nintendo Accounts, this includes people in 164 countries and regions around the world. Nintendo said Nintendo Account registrations include a "broad consumer base spanning gender and age groups." Additionally, Nintendo said of the 164 countries and regions where people are registered, some are places where Nintendo does not currently operate a console business. As such, these regions in particular are an "important foundation for [Nintendo's] future business."

In other news, the Switch is closing in on 93 million units systems sold and 681 million games. Nintendo has said the Switch OLED is off to a good start and could help Nintendo see hardware growth for a record sixth straight year. The company also reiterated its plans to launch a new console before the year 2100, while Seth Rogen might be getting his own Donkey Kong movie.
