The company has now shared more details about the event in terms of how to watch and what to expect, and we're rounding up all the key details here in one place. How To Watch The Xbox Anniversary Celebration The Xbox Anniversary Celebration, as it's officially called, airs on Monday, November 15--which is 20 years to the day after the original Xbox and Halo: Combat Evolved released in 2001. The broadcast will air on the official Xbox channels on YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook, and you'll be able to watch the event right here on GameSpot. Subtitles will be available in many different languages. Additionally, the broadcast will be available with American Sign Language (ASL) and Audio Descriptions (AD) in English on the Xbox YouTube channel. Happy birthday, XboxStart Time The showcase begins at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM GMT. What To Expect In terms of what the broadcast will bring, Microsoft said it will serve as a celebration of "some of our favorite moment from the past 20 years of Xbox." There will not be any game announcements, but as for specifics about what will be there, well, Microsoft has not said yet. More Celebrations Microsoft is hosting an Xbox FanFest event on Saturday, November 13 at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET where it will host an Xbox-related trivia contest. You can sign up on the FanFest website here to register--you must do so by midnight on November 9. As part of this event, Microsoft will announce the first details on some 20th anniversary giveaways. Additionally, Microsoft will add more Xbox items to the Xbox Gear store on November 15 that aim to celebrate "all things Xbox," though Microsoft did not say what they might be. What's more, Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass Ultimate membership badges, which are displayed on Xbox profile pages, are getting updated for the 20th anniversary. "The old badges which showcase how long you have been a member of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Live Gold will be replaced with a colorful new badge," Microsoft said. These badges, samples of which you can see below, will start to arrive beginning next week after of the event. The new Xbox anniversary badgesAdditionally, Microsoft is releasing a special-edition Xbox controller and headset themed around 20 years of Xbox, while there is a new Halo-branded Xbox Series X console on the way. Outside of the anniversary, Microsoft has a new piece of hardware coming this year--a mini-fridge.
