The new update adds split-screen multiplayer support, along with the option to play any Grand Prix cup with 2-4 players in a new mode called Relay Race. You play gates around your living room, or anywhere else, to create a course, and then it comes to life with a variety of fantastical elements in the game. Home Circuit normally costs $100 but it will be discounted to $60 for Black Friday. This deal, and Nintendo's many other Black Friday offers, go live beginning November 21. GameSpot's Home Circuit review scored the game a 7/10. "The more work you put into making your go-kart track craftwork unique, the more enjoyment you'll get out of racing, with or without some frustration and repetition," Steve Watts said. "Mario Kart Live isn't going to have the long-term appeal of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but with some imagination and ingenuity, you can make it something special."
